This dude is a cvnt. He runs a mega church in Houston capable of safely housing over 10,000 displaced people during the hurricane, but he closed his doors to everyone due to "flooding" that after further investigation only affected the under-ground parking garage. He later changed his story to say that the city of Houston never asked them to become a storm shelter. While he's making millions of dollars a year off of preaching, he refuses shelter to the needy people who pay his bills until he is forced to let them in. What a good Christian.
@MedalDeliveryMan, couldn't have said it better myself...there is no words to describe this b.s....his preaching can't save him now where he's going
@MedalDeliveryMan, yeah indeed this dude is a complete sociopath and a fvck boy. He makes a fortune off people's gullibility and insecurity, but he's not the problem. The problem is all of his sheeple followers who believe what he says and gave him their money. in the first place.
@DHS Crisis Actor, while I agree that his followers are delusional, it is those who take advantage of the vulnerable who are the most to blame.
@MedalDeliveryMan, religion, man. It's the biggest hustle ever perpetrated on humanity. But in the year 2017, an age where everyone has a phone that holds the key to all the information (and misinformation) in the world, ignorance is a choice.
@MedalDeliveryMan, biggest scam in the history of all evolution
@MedalDeliveryMan, in his defense he opened the church as a tax shelter not a shelter for people in need.
@Grizzly Wintergreen, *slaps forehead* I GUESS
@MedalDeliveryMan, "Christian." A real pastor wouldn't wait for the city to ask them to be a shelter, they would open their doors freely. This guy isn't a real Christian, he's a scam artist
@Thane of Deez, pretty much every mosque in Houston opened their doors even before the full force of the storm hit.
@MedalDeliveryMan, I had to dislike because you are misleading people with missing information. There is pictorial evidence that the church was legitimatly flooded. Not only that, he also put gathered supplies and volunteers to house victims. He started housing people day 1. Mainstream social media took a single piece of information and inflated and skewed it
@Finalh0pe, actually I addressed that "evidence". It shows only the underground parking garage and one other subroom flooded. I assume most people seeking shelter won't worry about parking. Additionally, many people have gone to the church and seen there is no flooding on the ground level where the people would be sheltered. Finally, they only began collecting supplies about 3 days ago, which is when the pastor himself said that "they would have become a shelter if the city of Houston had asked them to." Last i checked in the story of the Good Samaritan, said Samaritan wasn't asked by their local government to help the ailing traveler. Check your evidence before you fall into the trap of your own media sources.
@MedalDeliveryMan, I did check. I'll link my sources so we can compare
@MedalDeliveryMan, I think he is a genius. He has successfully convinced millions to give him money for no reason at all.
@troubled panda, still a cvnt though
@MedalDeliveryMan, I went to this church for awhile and was highly involved. At one of the summer camps I met his son who was 9 at the time I believe....biggest cvnt I ever met in my life. He acted like he was entitled to do whatever he wanted because his dad owned the church, so I told him off.
@Ahnald Schwarsanagga, well that kid will never have to work a day in his life, all he'll have to do is lie to more poor people like his parents and he'll get millions of dollars in inheritance that his father won't donate to the needy.
@LilPuppyOfDOOM , his preaching was never gonna save him. As a devout Christian I can assure you this man is a horribly weak and selfish individual who really makes the rest of us look bad.
@MedalDeliveryMan, Not to mention he actually PASSED AROUND THE OFFERING PLATE at a service for Harvey victims.
@Finalh0pe, neither of those sources provide evidence, just quotes from osteen. Meanwhile there is photographical evidence that the streets around and the main floor of his church were not even close to "flooded". Every mosque in Houston prepared for the disaster beforehand and was ready to accommodate people on the first day of the storm. Osteen's church had no intention of helping people, otherwise they would have prepared beforehand.
@MedalDeliveryMan, He can call himself whatever he wants; he's not a Christian, he's a business man.
@BIessthefaII, id say he's a con man but yeah
@MedalDeliveryMan, very typical
@MedalDeliveryMan, yeah, a con man is more accurate. A business man would know that a kind & charitable act during a disaster affecting thousands - such as offering your mega church as a shelter - is a wise investment that would likely pay off in the long run. Even if it didn't, it wouldn't cost him much in the long run and a business man would know that the bad press could substantially lower his profits. A con man might be inclined to believe that his victim(s) are so charmed by him that he can do whatever he wants and it won't matter.
@LilPuppyOfDOOM , into the dirt because that's where we all end up - but I hope he had a painful time getting there
@Grizzly Wintergreen, awesomest comment ever
If anything "good" comes out of hurricane Harvey, it's the fact that people are finally starting to figure out how much of a douche this guy is.
@CheechAndDong, you'd think so. Many Christians here are still defending him.
@BatPink, whoa I ain't defending him. He a creep
@Albmag, sorry, when I said "here" I meant here in Houston, not here on Funny Pics.
@BatPink, it's okay! But I legit think he's a scam artist taking advantage of people and using his status as 'pastor' as leverage. Irritates me when people use religion as a way to scam others
The money preacher
I don't mind Christianity... but "Christians" are another story...
@darthsexy, this guy sounds like a wanna be
@darthsexy, the scam artists that pretend are the worst.
Pure Luck (not the picture, just a great movie with Martin short)
I wanna punch him in his p*ssy
It all makes sense now
