Kids, can you lighten up a little?
@Medic135, But...but the lore
Or, you know, they have memories from the human society that their canonically descended from..... one of the producers said that they overthrew the humans and that their personalities are actually based off of the personality of the people that drove them
@Gay Ninja, that seems likeliest. Since the Cars movies do not take place in their own disconnected universe (according to the Pixar Theory), they would not have had 'car' versions of every event in history. It's likelier that they adopted the absent humans history, replacing the humans with car versions of themselves. As time passed, the originals who may have been aware of humanity died off, and the truth was buried, leading to this generation of 'auto-sapients' who believe their own propaganda.
Honestly, I'd love to see some sequels actually address the times between, as they must've been turbulent.
Seriously, how cool would it be to see a Toy Story movie have humanity as a whole discover the toys, and have the toys fight back against the mistreatment they receive at our hands? The movie wouldn't even need to be centred around Woody or Buzz or the others. But it could be about them too. Imagine a story where the truth gets out and Woody has to decide which world to side with?
@Gay Ninja, sources please
But is 7/11 a part-time car job?
Wait you know what this means...
ThAT's mY FeTisH!!!!
Look up the "Pixar Theory." It's really interesting and it connects all Pixar movies into one timeline
Now I won't be able to get any sleep.
So that means... there were car-dinosaurs
Damn that's deep....
