Just so people know, the thing about Irma being a category 6 is a hoax as a category 6 does not exist. A category 5 hurricane is any hurricane with sustained winds of 157(I believe) mph or more. It could be 400 mph and would still be category 5. I understand that this is a joke but some people actually believe the category 6 thing. All things aside though, I do hope that everybody stays safe during this dangerous time. Sorry for the long post.
@jayne cobb, Actually there was some talk of adding a 6th category, but I think the general concencus was that at that point it didn't matter, 5 or 6 you're still fvcked.
@jayne cobb, when Chuck Norris takes a dump, it takes a category 6 hurricane to move it along.
@jayne cobb, Thank you! As a weather nerd when ppl say that it grinds my gears
@DandyZombie35, there has actually been no serious talk about doing that whatsoever.
@HammerOfHerertics, I thought I read something about that on a news article. Definitely could be entirely wrong.
I just hope everyone out there is safe, jokes set aside I hope each and every single one of you are away from that mess
Irma is being reported as category 4 now and it's closing in on Florida. It's projected to go up the West coast of Florida. I hope it misses Alabama. My folks live only a few hours from Florida in Southern Alabama.
@Doctor Krieger, by the time it gets to North Florida it's projected to be a category 1 with tropical storm winds so they should be good
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, that's not what is being said currently.
