@HellboyPerlman, not just you. Studies show that sad music makes you feel better if you're sad and happy music makes you feel worse. They believe it is because if you play sad music you feel like others can relate, but happy music is the equivalent of someone telling you to "cheer up"

Yeah when I broke up with my girlfriend is kept on listening to the sad music we listened to together. It made me really sad but also happy because I remembered all the good times.
