I have so many questions about this game. Holes and paradoxes galore.
What if an identical twin believes they are in the picture but it isn't actually them?
How about conjoined twins?
What if the lighting is really bad and you can barely make yourself out?
What if you take the picture, but your thumb is blocking part of the picture? Does that still count?
What if the picture was an ultrasound?
If you lose an arm later in life and you go back to the picture, will you arm ever get separated from you again? And vice versa if you have both arms and travel back to when you had one.
And bionic limbs.
What if you were wearing a mask?
What if you are convinced you are in that picture, but realistically you're not.
And reflections of yourself in pictures. Is everything mirrored?
If the picture was taken upside down?
There are so many questions I have about this game. Not enough of it makes sense logically or from a physics perspective.
@OrphanCrippler44, If I remember I'll explain it all later, but for now try your best with the following laws clearly derived from the in-game events -
She keeps anything she picks up
She retains her position even if after rewinding she wasn't there before.
She quantumly and temporarily replaces any version of her past self, which loses recollection of the event.
She cannot use soiled, torn, or burnt pictures.
Twin questions are pointless because she and she alone gains this power in the universe.
She has to focus on a clear image to go back, poor lighting equals poor image, no travel.
No answer to images where she is not present. Her rewind is proven to be limited in immediate length and capacity however, requiring pictures to go far in the past.
Snap guess I answered near all your supposed plot holes anyway. Enjoy!
p.s she can only use pictures for a short time forward and back, so ultrasound would do nothing more than make a temporarily sentient embryo.
@OrphanCrippler44, it's a game about time travel. That's automatic plot holes. You can't dig too deep
@TheCruzanator, Thanks for all that, but I really was wondering how all of it could be possible and why she can do what she does. The game really did the best they could, but if conjoined twins had the power, would it still work? And amnesia and planted memories. Thanks for explaining all that you did.
But as Usmovers mentioned, all time travel has plot holes.
@OrphanCrippler44, I'm just taking issue with you superimposing nonexistent plot holes. LiS did a superb job of touching on nearly every point you made and ultimately any game/book/movie requires you to suspend your disbelief and accept the rules/laws/natural order of the medium's world. Nothing in LiS was contradictory, so no glaring plot holes! Also,
amnesia was touched on with drugged nonexistent memories but a photo that could bring her back. Do not wonder expect or confuse the rules with what if some random twin or other, because that never happened. Honestly I have a feeling you either didn't play the game or weren't paying enough attention with your questions and as such I recommended a dose of PLAY IT AGAIN CAUSE IT'S AWESOME~~
Hahaha! Yeah, I totally get this joke! (Hopefully no one will realize that I don't know who this character is.)
@gunitg7007, max from Life is Strange
*waits for someone to come explain*
@YourMomRidesMeGood, someone correct me if I'm wrong but this is the protagonist from Life is Strange. Basically she can control time to some degree and it sets off a butterfly effect that fvcks up a lot of stuff.
@Loose Dads , huh okay sweet, that game is now on my list to play
@Loose Dads , I think you're right. I watched my brother play. I liked the concept since it's one of those games where your choices change the game's path
@Loose Dads , you are correct, that is Max Caulfield from Life is Strange. Spoiler alert, the ending pisses me off and as such, I shall never play this game. I watched the Two Best Friends play it.
@Mattizzle9, she looks about 13
For those that don't know, this is from a game called Life is Tumblr. It was somehow so popular that it got a prequel game called: Life is Hella Tumblr
In other words, no you don't need to know this one
Ya she rewinds time a bunch and causes a huge storm but definitely play life is strange loved it.
This game was amazing... It hits you right in the feels
Does nobody get the reference to the flash point paradox?
Reminds me of Bioshock Infinite.
Fun fact: this girl looks exactly like my ex.
Life sure is tumblr
