Gotta use underscores in place of spaces. It's written right here you dumb fvck
@Slovak Guy , Yea this guy can't follow his erections
Guys the wage gap is a myth! All those "statisticians" with "diplomas" and "knowledge in the field" somehow all forgot about things like maternity leave. How did they miss that!? Barely 100% of them explicitly state that they do account for it. Plus, those "experts" also forgot to factor in that women and men just choose different types of jobs! I'm not quite sure how thousands of different studies forgot to enter controls for something so obvious lol. I mean, I haven't read anything past the Daily Caller headline about those studies, but I'm positive they don't specifically state that they account for it. Now, you might be thinking, "Saying that women inherently choose lower-paying jobs is by definition, sexism." But I'm still thoroughly convinced the wage gap doesn't exist, while at the same time women electively take inferior jobs, and I'm not sexist.
TLDR: an unnecessary amount of salt
@Soon, welcome to postmodernism, where the only real debates happen amongst the smart, qualified people, but then everyone else ignores them because a dumb person told them to. I wish I could upvote you more because unfortunately there's a downvote horde coming your way, friend.
@YUNoJump, I'm pretty happy it even has 2 upvotes lol
@Soon, Reminds me of the comic where you have STEM and Gender Studies booths.
@Soon, so, what you are saying is, man should tell women what job to take?
@Soon, find me a woman IN THE SAME JOB AS YOU who is paid 77% of your pay for no reason. Do it. I'll wait here
@Medic135, No joke I'm glad you replied, I'm shocked I had this few downvotes and I was worried sexists were literally too simple to get the sarcasm. So I guess props for being slightly smarter than the average sexist
@Soon, yeah yeah sarcasm I can read it, still waiting
@Medic135, Well I'm a small business owner, so my equivalent would be data (that you can easily find yourself) on how women-led startups are less likely to receive funding than men, or well-known pay gap examples like the US women's soccer team, but I'm not gonna change your mind.
We both have the internet. I can send links to peer-reviewed studies or the US Census Bureau, and you can send me links to Breitbart and 4Chan. My comments are more to counteract the posts from all the fragile male egos here
@Soon, I have literally never been to Breitbart or 4chan just for the record, you're an arrogant little guy you know? I'm a fireman, there are very very few female Firefighters but they are paid no less. Your statistics? Half are outdated from a time when there was an actual pay gap, the rest don't account for variables like type of job. A female CEO is just as overpaid as a male one, just like a female nutritionist (not even sure what that is) is going to be paid significantly less but if more women are in that field than business management then statistically speaking they make less as a whole
@Medic135, Lol I think you should re-read the last few lines of my original comment and the second half of what you just said, and think that through. Also again non-sarcastic props on being a firefighter, now we both know why the other has time to kill arguing with strangers on the internet
Ya got me on that last part. But if you had a small amount of common Sense you'd realize not everything is sexist and racist, cases in which a woman does the same job as a man and isn't paid accordingly are ridiculous and should be stopped but across the board it is not an epidemic and there is no wage gap nor was there a holocaust and bush did 9/11
@Soon, the US Women's Soccer Team is not an example of a pay Gap in the sense that you're using it, it's an example of the US Women's Soccer Team earning overall like an absolutely terribly small fraction of what the men's soccer team urns, because people just want to watch men's soccer.
@Soon, actually the real staticians with the respectable diplomas and knowledge in the field all say that the pay Gap is a myth, but you know I guess we're just going to ignore that.
@Soon, Are you serious, the female US soccer team really. Omg how about for starters it's not even close to as popular as the male US soccer team.
@Captain Swordsman, @Autismo, Hahaha I'm gonna level with you here, I put that example out there to bait some less intelligent people. While most sports are male dominated (which makes since cause men are biologically bigger and stronger) the US women's soccer team A) has a bigger fanbase, B) brings in more revenue, and C) is objectively more talented than our men's team. I was expecting this example to bait @Medic135, but he's actually not as dumb as I thought. You two tho...
@Soon, "B) Brings in more revenue"
@Soon, your point B is right if and only if you look at the 2016 fiscal year, which was the year after they had won the World Cup so a lot of people could be on the hype of winning. However if you look at the year before, the men generated more than 3x than the women. The closest the women have been in the last 6 years was 2013, but the men have been consistently more than double every other year starting 2011.
@Captain Swordsman, Hahahaha this is fantastic. I mean, I know not a lot of people are gonna see these comments and google them, but goddamn if even just a few people see that comment and just look up the revenue differences, especially in recent years..
Anyway, I'm not trying to be a dick, I just like to argue with people when I'm bored. You'll forgive me if I move on to people a little less easy to beat lol
@Soon, your point C does not make any sense actually because the difference in opponents. The women do not play the exact same teams the men play and vice-versa. Yes, the women have won 3 world cups. However, they are not playing teams that have players like Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldo. Nor (as far as I know) have the men's and women's teams played each other. You cannot say they are "objectively more talented" if one of these two haven't happened yet.
@AlQaholic, You're 100% right, and since 2015, women have outpaced the men. My point is that their pay hasn't magically shifted since 2015. Women made less before, after, and for the foreseeable future. Those stats pretty easily remove the argument that the pay is based on revenue rather than bias
For that C) you're right, "objectively" might not be the best word. As an avid soccer fan (and a bit of a gambler) I'd place some pretty solid cash on our women kicking our guys' asses. But it's true that is just an opinion, although I consider myself pretty well-informed about our soccer teams' skill levels
@Soon, oh I completely agree with you and I much rather watch the women play over the men and I'm actually going to the game against Canada. I think they do have a great chance if they play the men because they seem more consistent (except during the tournament of champions between Brazil, Japan, and Australia). Meanwhile, the men have been so frustrating to watch in some of these qualifying games.
@AlQaholic, The inconsistency is real :/ it's like the Madden curse. Once the women won the championship they had no one to lose to but themselves
@Soon, 'thousands of studies' and doesn't cite a single one. Let me just pull words out of my a$$ and not actually back them hurr durr
@Soon, 'OMG HOW COULD THEY SKIP OVER THOSE OBVIOUS CONTROLS!'
Umm... I don't know... Maybe the biased people who conduct the study purposely ignore those controls because they're pushing a narrative and an agenda? I mean, do you think they're just conducting the study out of the kindness of their hearts or do you think from the start they had a biased and were looking for a certain outcome? Seeing as the universities who conduct these studies are UNDOUBTEDLY EXTREMELY PROGRESSIVE, why WOULDN'T they have a bias?
@Soon, I don't know why you guys are complaining still, companies like Google are doing diversity and women hires out the wazoo. A great example is the highly qualified Music major, who was a diversity hire at Equifax. She got the job as head of computer security! Lol, she's done an amazing job as a strong independent womyn... There totally isn't 150 million people's social security numbers and highly sensitive personal information out in the open right now.
But The Man wouldn't let you hear about that, would he? Gotta keep you believing the narrative. Why would anybody ever lie ever?
@Kekistan Ambassador, Haha wow an overly-sensitive, long-winded, incoherent 4Chan user... all I need now is a white guy who thinks religious oppression only applies to Christians and I'll have "soon-to-be-imprisoned-skinhead" bingo!
Anyway, I tip my hat to your well thought out response. You definitely read past that Daily Caller headline about that woman being a "diversity hire"
@Soon, Haha wow an simple minded sheep of a Progressive... All I need now is for him to accuse me of being a Nazi- Oh my god he did! Should I even be surprised, I just won Orwellian Dystopia bingo! Ding ding ding!
@Soon, in the studies where those variables are accounted for the wage gap damn near vanishes, and where the remaining 2¢ to 6.6¢ is concerned, the studies can't determine how much of the remaining gap is due to discrimination - maybe none at all - or differences in individual choices characteristic to men & women.
I thought that women made more on porn anyway so the gap in the porn industry works in our favor.
@CKMe, I heard it's a bit unclear because of how much longer men last (excuse the pun) in the industry.
There's plenty of porn about girls trying to get a raise. In more ways than one.
I just checked there's 3 posts with female_wage_gap as a tag
@ArcenicCatnip, and they're eh
Ha it’s funny if there are and aren’t images
MegasXLR. Coop was actually a sexy guy honestly...
But why were you on there?
Fun fact, spoons the turtle isn't pornographied yet
