Clearly this person has never encountered bronies before.
No one should be surprised about this at this point.
@Aura The Fgt, I’m surprised.
Not only did I not think that think these people went out in public, but not one of them is wearing a fedora.
@Aura The Fgt, I’m worried not surprised
@Nellybert , they checked them at the door.
hating on bronies isnt even funny. especially not like 6 years after the joke was cool. "hurr durr. i have a moral hugh horse cuz i watch shows society has deemed appropriate for me" you know what society also deemed appropriate at one point? slavery.
@Master Discord, I salute your user name, as it references the BEST character of the series! 👍
Bronies for life! Friendship is magic!
@SsumGuy, so I have a question, do you actually enjoy the plot of MLP? I'm not trying to be rude, you're free to watch what you want, I'm just genuinely curious. When I heard about bronies I figured there must be something to the show since it had such a prominent adult fan base (I personally enjoy Adventure Time quite a bit) however when I tried the show I found it to be utterly boring. The plot was weak even for a kids show and although a good moral for kids the constant talk of friendship was annoying to say the least. So my questions are, what do you like about the show specifically? And how old are you? Thanks, have a nice day.
@Blasphemy is Fun, I’m not sure about him but I really like how the characters In the show progress and meet their goals. Most kids shows are just randomness week after week. I would watch my friends kids and would see the kind of mind numbing cartoons they watched. No value. Just stupidity. Then one day they turned on MLP I was like o boy this girl show from when I was a kid. But it was good. They introduced the main cast in the perfect way. Showing how there special skill would play out to complete the task at had. And I really liked the music. Anyway I haven’t watched the show I’m almost a year but I’d say I’m still a brony. And also I’m 25 if you want to know
@oldworldassasin, dude seriously. You're 25 watching and enjoying a show meant for 5 year old girls. There are so many other shows that do exactly as you described meant for adults. It's disturbing.
@SsumGuy, I'm with you man. Bronies together.
@Blasphemy is Fun, For me, it’s not so much the plot as it is the characters and the overall animation. Everything looks really good, and the characters are well-developed. The songs are fun too—my personal favorite thus far is the Winter Wrap-Up song.
@TheSecretSavage, Please don’t hate on us for enjoying a show. Because at the end of the day, that’s all we’re doing. You enjoy your shows, and we’ll enjoy ours. Have a nice day.
@TheSecretSavage, like what?
There is likeable in any kid cartoon, please don't mix up rule 34 and a cartoon. just like mobile game is meant for kids but the whole mobile game thing still brooms like crazy..
@oldworldassasin, I'm with you. Great show, excellent stories, quality animation. We're not all creepy pervs trying to create Rule 34 fan fiction. Some of us just enjoy the show as is; in my case, I'm old enough to remember the original series (which upheld the proud 80s cartoon tradition of just being an animated infomercial). Yes, there are Bronies who do some truly disturbing sh*t. I've said it before, I'll say it again: within every fan base and fringe group, there is a relatively small fraction of attention whores within said group that ruin it for everyone else. Brownies, Furries, Muslims, Southern Baptists, Catholics, sports fans, cosplayers... name a group, there's some a$$hole in that group screaming, "Look at me! I represent EVERYONE in this group!"
@TheSecretSavage, yes. Like Rick and Morty? Sorry- but I'm a 35 year old female and I'd rather watch MLP any day. I grew up on the Simpsons and South Park, lots of Family Guy and Futurama... Rick and Morty tries to hard for my taste. Honestly- I SHOULD like R&M, but it is just trying to be what Family Guy is. If given a preference, I'll watch MLP any day of the week. It's written by people my age--- so there's plenty of jokes I get from an adult perspective.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, You...
I like you.
@SchroedingerPussPuss, I didn't get into Rick and Morty right away. It took a couple episodes. I feel it's trying to be it's own thing. It goes way further than any of the other ones as far as the shock value. Most cartoons are based in imagination and not real life, and I think the further away from real life the better.
@TheSecretSavage, are you so scared for your own masculinity that you feel the need to put people down. I bet you like somthing that’s girly in everyone else’s eyes. And you know what that’s great be you. But If you think a grown man enjoying a tv show about the values of friendship with his 4 year old god daughter is disturbing your the one with the problem
@oldworldassasin, good one. Please tell me how many of these bronies are going with their god daughter? Exactly. A grown man should not be sexually attracted to a fvcking kids cartoon. It's disturbing.
@TheSecretSavage, As a brony, I couldn’t agree with you more. But here’s the thing: not all of us get off to the show. Most of us, myself included, are relatively normal people who just so happen to like a kids show.
@TheSecretSavage, who says I or anyone of them are. I don’t know of anyone who is. So keep thinking whatever it is going thru your tiny skull and have nice day
@TheSecretSavage, dude they arent sexually attracted to it. Didnt you read? That is a tiny fraction of them. There are weirdos in every group ever.
I'm 19, a girl, and looking forward to seeing it... I really hope no one makes fun of me there. You guys are pretty mean about it.
@Amethyst Sky, they won't because you're a girl. This is also the internet where everyone hates everyone for no particular reason. It truly makes me sad. Enjoy the movie!
@thegermanman927, good point, thank you!
Meh. I Enjoy the show but I’m not gonna go watch it In the theatres. What this picture doesn’t show is amount of girls the same age that also enjoy it.
As someone with an interest in animation im naturally drawn to cartoons and anime. Recently cartoons aimed at kids have improved tremendously, at different levels and quality of course. I found MLP to be one of them. Alongside the avatar series, star vs the forces of evil, amazing world of gumball, gravity falls, and Steven universe (after episode 40 ish. Some of You know what I mean). As someone hoping that we can get western cartoons and animation to the level in anime, in theme exploration and maturity, I think encouraging interest in cartoons is helpful.
Are there other non cartoon shows that do it better l? Absolutely. Better than mlp? Yes. There are a plethora of shows, from ‘community’ to ‘friends’ exploring relationships and connections.
But MLP is just one of those things you either love or let be. It’s, to me, good.
I'm more of an Equesticle
At this point it's passed the threshold of weird. My 5 year old little sister watches and loves the show, which is appropriate since it was MADE for kids like her. I mean cmon. Ftw
I just wanna see it, cause CL sings in there. (If you don't know who she is, look her up. She is one of the baddest female)
This is what happens when let them escape their basements to be in public with their “fan” admiration.
I think the worst thing is parents and little kids will go to this movie and be greeted by 25 year old neck beards getting hard to magical ponies.
Apparently the judge told them they couldn't go to the matinee...
Bronies still exist? Thought it was a fad. I remember jokes about this moment years ago before any movie talks.
Swear on your life? I'm happy to take it.
That must be the 'other' movie of the same title. Five stars from me.
