Hey everyone. I've never done this before but I lost my cat of 16 years a couple of weeks ago and it's been really hard adjusting to not having him around. But I wanted to thank all of you. This community has always given me a place to come laugh and escape for a bit. Down vote me if you want (I know some people hate these) but thank you to all
@mtndewman9791, i know the feeling, i had a cat for about that long too and one day we abruptly had to put him down. It came as such a shock to me since he wasnt even that old and was perfectly fine that morning. Its soo tough, especially when its not just the family cat but YOUR cat. It will get better tho, i promise. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming...
@mtndewman9791, look at rescuing another cat in your cats memory. There are lots of kittens that need a second chance.
We had to have our last kitten put to sleep at 5 months old which was really hard. We said no more but fell for our little Bruce. Won't be without cats. Currently have five.
And a huge food and litter bill.
@mtndewman9791, I just lost my dog today, and damn it blows. But we'll get through this. He's not really gone. Just like on our walks, he's just waiting for me to catch up
I'm so sorry for your loss, but as stercus said, finding a new fur friend is a strong option. However, it's something you should do WHEN YOU ARE READY.
And Dinkleberg, I agree, they don't leave us. My fiancé had had a pit bull when he was a kid, who had to be put down when he was in high school. For the longest time(even through another dog) he could feel his pup's spirit watching over him. Now he has a third dog, who started acting like his pit. His new dog responds, with no prior training, to his old dog's name.
Our furred friends never leaves us. They stay. The watch over us. And, sometimes, they come back.
Can confirm, it doesnt
@JC13, have you ever had a puppy? Cuz puppy kisses and watching puppy dreams is pretty great.
@BigJohnson86, have you ever had a kitten?
@JC13, if there was a such thing as comment tinder, I would super like your comment right now.
@JC13, yes and they are still not as good as puppies. Unless you give them catnip and they are running around high as $hit.
*Proceeds to claw out his legs*
And a fluffy heat source being applied to your legs!
@Under The Gloves , I think you’re talking about a dick
@Bigm222, thank you for continuing the tradition
When I lie down, my cat jumps on me, starts kneading my nuts, then sits on my face for some reason.
