She should have never apologized and given into that BS.
@Jeffyg3, then started a slow clap for that fits comment.
@Jeffyg3, Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Tell them to fvck off and they'll target you more. The answer is to just ignore them. The only way to win is to not play.
There's a story in the news right now about some baseball player who pulled his eyes back and said "Chinese boy" in Spanish, and he just got suspended for 5 games in 2018.
I don't want to be on this planet anymore
@VibratingButtChomper, and several college campuses are warning students against blackface, wearing sombreros or other "racially insensitive" Halloween costumes.
This is like next level snowflake shjt. At this point it sounds like people are looking to be outraged for the sexual thrill.
@VibratingButtChomper, blackface makes sense to me for the most part given its history and really there were really racial imitations of Asians but that situation does sound stupid and the sombrero thing is even dumber.
Edit: obviously this chick isn’t in blackface
@VibratingButtChomper, I feel like it's ok to warn against blackface though... like actual blackface not just having black makeup on your face as part of your non-racist costume. I don't understand the Sombrero though... it's a hat... I wouldn't get offended as an American if some guy in Japan or Africa wore a baseball cap or dressed as a cowboy and wore a cowboy hat.
@KiritoSAOHero , But you see, to them if I white person does or wears anything unrelated to “white culture” then that’s “cultural appropriation” and is somehow racially oppressing people. Because hey, fvck logic, right? It’s not like non-white people can be racist or anything. (Sarcasm intensifies)
@TheRatMan, wait who is “them” in all this nonsense
@KiritoSAOHero , Some New York blogger was in the news yesterday about this - apparently white kids dressing up as Mulan or Moana is cultural appropriation, but dressing as Elsa is just as bad because it promotes ‘white beauty’....
@Nellybert , I heard that. I would literally punch anyone in the face who told a child that they couldn't dress up and pretend to be someone they look up to or just want to be.
@Richard Cypher, What got me was the idea that they can’t dress up as the white princess either, because it ‘perpetuates a stereotype of beauty’. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t!
She dressed her daughter up as Mickey Mouse in the end. What I want to know is this: Aside from his face, Mickey Mouse is black. So did she black up her daughter?
@Nellybert , expecting consistency in leftist ideology is like expecting an apple to grow a pear tree. "Celebrate diversity! Unless you're white, then stay in your own culture. Also, white people don't have culture, they could learn more from others - which we will call cultural appropriation and is bad"
@KiritoSAOHero , I'm Mexican and I've always thought that people opposed to whites wearing sombreros and stuff are the racist ones. It's like they think that every Mexican wears a sombrero and a poncho and rides around on a donkey. The only people that wear sombreros in Mexico are mariachis and tourists.
@VibratingButtChomper, Dodgers vs Astros game, the reason he is getting suspended is because he purposefully did it to insult a pitcher on the Dodgers' team. He's getting suspended for unsportsmanlike behavior, this is nothing new in the MLB, you act like a cünt you get treated like one.
The difference between the Astros player and this chick right here is that one was making a joke saying her soul is black, a color commonly used to depict evil or diseases while the other was using a racial stereotype to make fun of a player.
While blackface is bad, it's only really bad if used in bad spirit.
@Janky McSkanky, Yeah. Blackface isn't having black paint on your face. Blackface is when someone intentionally wants to portray black stereotypes negatively.
@Janky McSkanky, i don't know who or why they downvoted you. What you are saying is true.
I don’t want to live on this planet anymore...
I wish more white people just told overly pc black people to eat a dick... seriously.
@ThaSmoothieKing, that is a black man saying it's not offensive
@ThaSmoothieKing, it's not necessarily always white vs black. I actually went to her twitter feed and it was a lot of white people being upset and a fair amount black people saying it's not a big deal.
As the YouTuber idubbbz said in one of his videos "at the end of the day everything's a choice. Black people can choose to get offended by black slurs, Asian people can choose to get offended by Asian slurs, and white people can choose to get offended by black slurs..."
I feel like that quote applies to a lot of things in the PC community.
@HolyCatchphrase, well good, because it’s not. I just mean in general.
People need to stop apologizing.
Welcome to the new norm, where many costume ideas are "racist" or "offensive" because the character you're dressing as is a different race or ethnicity. Feel free to be a white guy though, though if they're homosexual or gender fluid I will have you kicked out of collage.
Though in all seriousness, if someone said my costume is offending them on some PC argument I'd just reply "God bless your special little snowflake heart." and walk away.
I can't stand this kind of situations anymore. She did nothing wrong, and she should not have apologized to the freaking whiners
Blackface is just someone playing a character. Just look at Lethal Weapon 6
Here's a question: would've been racist if she had a black morph suit?
Is his last name really groceries?
Speedy Gonzales feels the same
