Andromeda was a godamn disaster. It was so bad that the studio gave up on it in about 6 months. No DLC. On a game published by EA
@Kangaroo Jacked, I'm pretty sure EA disbanded that studio, and have indefinitely shelved the series. Can't blame them, I hated the game enough that I didn't finish it. I really hated the horrible controls on PC the most.
@Marka Ragnos, i thought that was the dead space team they disbanded
@Kangaroo Jacked, I sadly preordered it. I loved the Original 3, save the ending. I was so disappointed. Why must my two favorite series, Halo and Mass Effect be so badly managed?
@Kangaroo Jacked, unpopular opinion: I thoroughly enjoyed it. I completed everything to 100% and spent over 100 hours playing it within the course of three months and I loved every second of it. No ragrets.
@that crazy Marine, you've only had two favoured franchises ruined or dropped?
Bioshock (company refuses to make more)
Left 4 Dead
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Battlefront
Dead Rising (has gotten worse and sillier with every installment)
Possibly Borderlands (pre sequel was garbage and we still haven't heard anything about 3)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
And of course Sonic the Hedgehog.
This is the nature of being a gamer. Businessmen that can't find their own asses with both hands and a map making decisions on the production of video games when they understand nothing about video games and what makes the successful ones successful.
@I Are Lebo, those are my top 2
@I Are Lebo, but damn battlefront use to be amazing
@that crazy Marine, I know, right? I loved those Space battles. I'd win so fast because I was really good at boarding enemy ships and blowing up their shït. I'd always go as the class with the rocket launcher, and I'd take down their shields, weapons, and bridge all in one life.
@SavageGreek, why/how? All of the characters are emotionless robots, the story is entirely unoriginal, the gameplay itself isn't great, and it's an RPG where you have no real choices as to what role you play.
@Kangaroo Jacked, they killed it themselves so they could make a destiny rip off.
@I Are Lebo, they're working on BL3 my dude probably going to be forever still until it comes out but I have a good feeling it will be worth the wait. I've probably spent more hours on BL2 than any of my other games
@I Are Lebo, everything on that list is practically my childhood. Sad stuff like it isn't made anymore
@funny pics veteran, I was confused for a bit because BL is not the shortform for Borderlands. Acronyms take the first letter from each word. COD Call Of Duty, WOW World Of Warcraft. Borderlands is one word, it isn't Border Lands.
But even then, the gap between Borderlands 1 and the Pre Sequel has now been more than between the Pre Sequel and 3. The only way it takes that long to make a video game is if they haven't been making it.
@LeRon James, I really dont know what it is. The demand for sequels to Portal or L4D is huge, yet Valve seems entirely uninterested in either making more or selling the licence
Paper Mario was one of my all time favourite games, yet sequel after sequel has been worse than the one before, because Nintendo seems to think that gimmicks make good games. Paper Mario was excellent because it had charm, interesting characters and events, and possibly the single greatest musical score in a video game
Resident Evil content seems to come out of Capcom throwing darts at a board, and so the games have next to no consistency. (1 and 2 were good but had garbage controls, 4 was excellent but also had bad controls, 5 was pretty good but suffered from shoehorned co op, 6 was just all over the place, and 7 can't make up its mind whether it's a survival horror or a scary video game)
Dead Rising has just totally jumped the shark
Fable has exactly one good game in its franchise
And Tony Hawk is a joke
@I Are Lebo, they are actually planning a borderlands 3 from what I know :D
@I Are Lebo, Ive always seen BL when abrieviated I normally do it that way to help with confusion. Anyway Randy Pitchford over at gearbox has announced that around 90% of his team has been working on it and a while back they released a video showing off the updated graphics engine they are using on Borderlands 3.
@A pet named Steve, yeah, ok. I hear it's release date will coincide with Half Life 3 and The Incredibles 2.
@funny pics veteran, I'll believe it when I see it.
@I Are Lebo, don't smash my hopes like that 😢
@I Are Lebo, while I agree on the choices not making a difference (a mechanic that Mass Effect holds itself to higher standard), I really enjoyed the game and all of its devices: I enjoyed the gameplay allowing me to use every power up and ability, which many games don't allow me to utilize because of level caps, skill point depletion and such. I also really loved the characters like Jaal and Peebee. Yes, I agree that they weren't Garrus, Liara, hell, even Chambers for that matter, but I still liked getting to know them. Jaal had such love for his family and he had plenty of emotions. Peebee was a hardass trying to keep her distance from people. Gil ended up having a child with his female best friend which was crazy and awesome. I found things that I loved about each character and gravitated towards that; even quips they through at each other while driving had me cracking up the whole time. I just really loved the game, and so I just kept an optimistic outlook the whole time. :)
CD Projekt red are awesome. It's simple as that. Witcher got a ton of free little DLCs, two DLCs that you have to buy but (as I've been told, haven't gotten to the DLCs yet) are absolutely dang worth it, the game is amazing, you can replay it after you finish, story good, characters good, world map amazing... I could go on. I wish Andromeda had turned out better, I would have tried it...
@A pet named Steve, when youve got the cash, there is no need to wait. Both expansions are basically short full games as far as quality content
@A pet named Steve, the Blood and Wine (2nd) DLC puts the game in a legendary status. It's been getting praise as one of the best DLC of all time for any game!
@A pet named Steve, with how amazing Witcher is, in all its glory. It baffles me how even with an absolute garbage management team and crap conditions (from what I have read and heard) they are still able to produce such an outstanding master piece of gaming material.
@A pet named Steve, my favorite was the hearts of stone the story line was so well written and moving and the best way to do it is buy the complete edition with all DLC got a used copy in flawless condition for $45
@abelgray, the complete edition said I could choose to either play just the dlc as separate games or combine them as one game
@A pet named Steve, I can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077. That is gonna be badass.
@ nigmin, yeah I’ve heard the management and treatment of employees at CD Projekt Red is terrible. YongYea made some informative YouTube videos on the subject.
@A pet named Steve, just imagine when Witcher 4 comes out
@A pet named Steve, not to mention the feels. They did a hell of a job capturing emotions in the game.
@Conspiracy Brotha, coming: when it's ready (that trailer is fvcking awesome)
*Actual motivation and time and effort*
@King Flippy Nips, *not having a soulless publisher breathing down your neck with deadlines and the threat of losing your studio*
By the way! The first Watch_Dogs is available for free in Ubisoft. But only until November 13th, in case you're interested ^^
It's a mystery how that games facial feature ended up that bad
Thats cuz the Poles work for little money and throw in insane amounts of crunch time and effort while andromeda got staffed with a bunch of sjws
