Superman is a glorified houseplant don’t let anyone fool you.
@DarthIvan, with a head that's somewhat spherical......SPHERICAL!
@DarthIvan, generally people who have that opinion have never actually read superman
@Marvelwolf, you've met many people who believe superman is a houseplant then?
@Marvelwolf, well if he’s not a houseplant than he’s a glorified solar battery
@Marvelwolf, I have read Superman comics and I appreciate what he has done for the comic book industry but I do not like him as a character
This seems extreme. I saw justice league and Superman was a much higher percentage of their firepower.
Makes sense since he's the best part of the movie
@The Crimson Fvcker, every time he was on screen, I giggled like a school girl.
Favourite scene: when flash realised that superman is a fast as him.
Favourite line: is this guy still bothering You? *proceeds to make Steppenwolf his bitch*
@add eggs then stir, but the flash is faster then superman
@add eggs then stir, dude, YES!!! Same! They finally made him the hopeful and the pillar of morals in the DCEU. That's the Superman I wanted to see on screen
@yarnemelk, definitely when he's more experienced, but at that point I'd say they're pretty much the same.
In their fight, superman was a little slower, but that could be because he's jumping about
And throwing punches, while the flash barely dodged them.
But the flash is still pretty new to the game, and will soon be easily faster than them all.
@yarnemelk, perhaps not this Flash. Not yet anyway. Seems like he's still getting the hang of his powers but once he does, yeah he's gonna be faster
@The Crimson Fvcker, @add eggs then stir, you have a point there. im glad that you presented me with arguments.
@The Crimson Fvcker, I wish they left him dead. His scenes were the worst parts and they didn't need him. Except for that scene with the flash, that was cool.
The justice league is only there to pick up kryptonite for superman and carry snacks
Flash had never been in a fight before that movie, and Superman literally never touched him. Every time the flash got thrown back or knocked down, it was because he tried to push Superman or because he fell down. Flash is the best JL member.
@Captain Magma, it's a joke, not a dick. Don't take it so hard
@Captain Magma, Superman is the most boring superhero ever. He’s borderline invincible and he’s too nice. I hate him. I hate everything he stands for. He’s dumb.
@HoorayFerSocks, bro the whole point of him is to be a symbol of humanity. Despite that he’s an alien and that he’s unbelievably powerful, he retains his moral qualities and is a reminder to everyone of what being a good moral human means... it’s also why his main villain is Luthor, a human who’s drained of his humanity
@Yooster, it's easy to remain true to yourself when you have every advantage
@Yooster, I get that. I was exaggerating and being purposely superficial, but you bring up some very good points. I think what bothers me, from a superhero fan’s perspective, is that he’s almost invincible. I know he’s got kryptonite-ophobia and his power comes from the sun, but other than that, he just can’t be killed. I like superheroes with more human-type problems like Flash and Spider-Man and such. I like Batman and Iron Man, as well, but not as much because they’re so rich that they don’t really have normal human problems (aside from the obvious dead parents thing).
@18bluecat, and some would say absolute power corrupts absolutely
@Yooster, oh and to be fair, I absolutely idolized Superman as a kid. I had these Superman pajamas with a Velcro cape that I wore literally all the time. My older brother had Batman. What a time to be alive!
@HoorayFerSocks, yeah that’s completely understandable most villains should stand no chance but those fights against doomsday and darkseid are pretty epic. And technically, pretty much every character is invincible due to them being a superhero unless the creators decide to kill of their franchise
@HoorayFerSocks, yea you’re missing the point of supes. His main plot points revolve around the internal conflict, how someone remains pure when they have all this power. He’s a beacon of hope, a symbol, his character is more than his powers.
@HoorayFerSocks, until you point a rock at him
@HoorayFerSocks, I think the way he's portrayed in the animated movies is great, especially alongside Batman. The animated DCEU is way better than the live action one.
@18bluecat, That's definitely not true, how many people in power have exploited others and hurt many others for their gains. When you have nothing but yourself you are more capable of staying true to yourself.
@HoorayFerSocks, I think Superman is relatable on a different level. He's a god-level superhero who actively decides to be human. He simultaneously feels like one wrong move can destroy the world and is aware that he cannot save everyone. One storyline has him confront the fact that he can't save his father from cancer. His number one weakness isn't kryptonite, it's mortality, just that of the people he cares about instead of his own. That's what makes him an interesting character, and it bugs me that film makers feel the need to use kryptonite as the defining conflict of the climax when he already has a more powerful weakness.
@HoorayFerSocks, injustice, kingdom come, and the dark Knight returns. Supes is pretty dope when he's the badge.
@HoorayFerSocks, I've always been bored by Superman because of his power. As I've gotten older, I've begun liking him more, but the Kryptonite-ophobia you mention is the main reason I hated BvS so much. He wanted to just use so many different comic storylines that he crammed them into one movie, and they can never do the Death of Superman properly now. Which is one of my favorites because it shows him being killed by brute Force, no Kryptonite involved.
@SimonPetrikov, I think that is one of the best descriptions that I’ve never heard before. That makes him quite a bit more interesting.
@HoorayFerSocks, how's life in North Korea?
@WelI Obviously, the supreme leader says I’m not allowed to talk to you.
I love DC but I hate how overpowered Superman is. Personally, I think the best JL members are Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), The Flash (Barry Allen), and Shazam.
@nosajavlis, you hate Superman because he's "overpowered" yet you love Green Lantern who's capable to make ANYTHING he images with his willpower. The Flash, who can run back through time and change anything and everything in a second if he wanted to and Shazam who's basically Superman but with magic. Yeah, that real logic right there
@The Crimson Fvcker, but if you notice all the people I've listed are easier to kill Vs Superman. Green Lantern, you take off his ring and is human. Shazam, you could kill him in his Billy Batson form. Superman you literally need kryptonite to kill him and he can take down the majority of the Justice League by himself.
@The Crimson Fvcker, and the Flash could technically can go through any object.
@The Crimson Fvcker, you seem to be really passionate about DC huh?
@The Crimson Fvcker, it's one of the reasons I've always liked marvel more DC (-Batman) heroes are so absurdly powerful that the idea of them losing is ludicrous even when it happens it makes little sense the flash is capable of hitting with the force of a supernova, you already explained Green Lantern, and if you look at death battle's analysis of Superman he's potentially one of the most powerful characters in all of fiction second only to omniscient characters
@nosajavlis, if Shazam did face Superman, I think that Shazam would win simply because Shazam is Magic and magic is a weakness towards Superman
@D1axter, I can't remember the name of the animated movie, but Shazam and Superman did fight at one point and Superman had won the fight
@TR8R, can't say that I'm not
@eleven, each to his/her own. While I love both Marvel and DC, I prefer that latter. Simply because their heroes are better at inspiring the readers than Marvel's. While Marvel is better with heroes you look for to relate to. If that's true, why do so many say people say characters like the Hulk, Thor or Goku can beat him?
@The Crimson Fvcker, fanboys are highly aggressive but few do the actual research that proves one side over the other Thor actually stands the best chance simply due to the fact that his weapon is inherently magic but super man can fly millions of times faster than the speed of light and hear sounds 25 light years away in the vacuum of space at Superman's maximum not future potential aside from omnipotence or instant magic or just so happening to have a piece of Kryptonite randomly on hand few can realistically stand against the man of steel
@The Crimson Fvcker, I wish I still had that. I haven't really been passionate about comics and stuff in awhile... it's starting to come back though with the movies, that's why I want DC to figure it's shít out.
@TR8R, may I suggest you try DCs Rebirth. While DC is not making headway in the movies, they are in the comics. With their arcs such as Batman Dark Metal, Superman Doomsday Clock, Flash The Button, Super Sons, etc. they've really been hitting it out of the park lately.
@TR8R, and Jason Aaron's run on the Thor's story's have been AAAAMAZING! Thor The God Butcher - Thor The Unworthy. Along with his Jane Foster Thor. Old Man Logan is another good one
@TR8R, has for the DCEU though. While I enjoyed MoS, WW and JL, it's clear they don't know what the fvck they're doing.
Two betas beat an alpha. Flash and Wonder Woman, flash and aqua man, Wonder Woman and aqua man, Batman and cyborg, Batman’s and Wonder Woman, Batman and aqua man, Batman and Batman. All of these combinations work to beat supes
@Kylo shot first, lol, did you watch Justice League?
@The Crimson Fvcker, no...
@Kylo shot first, then I've got news for you!.....But it's probably better if you see it for yourself
@Kylo shot first, I would agree with you; but the movie would not.
