Honestly this would make me less anxious then ordering food. Don't get me wrong, I would be terrified but ordering food upsets me greatly if I haven't practiced. I ordered food the other day with my family and the waiter asked what sides I wanted (I didn't know it came with sides) and I was so scared my brother ordered for me.
@18bluecat, as a server/bartender with 15+ years experience in the industry, there is nothing to be nervous about. If you have that one small question no one is judging you. The only time we have a problem is if we ask if you’re ready, and you say yes, then look at the menu as if you’ve never seen words before...then we will judge you. It’s ok to have questions about the menu, and believe me, if there is a option for sides we don’t expect you to always know them. Just don’t dilly dally when we give you the side options. Pick one or two (depending on the entree) and everything will be golden!
@RandyRanderson88, that's very kind advice
@18bluecat, get ready for the trick questions
