Stop abusing your employees. Just because you pay them doesn’t mean you own them. That’s been illegal for a few years.
@Poisonwolf, I think it means abuse from the customers more so than management
@Poisonwolf, If you can't abuse the underlings what is even the point of owning a business?
@Poisonwolf, huh? It's when customers abuse staff
Yeah that's not gonna stop them you will never know how poorly you can be treated until you're serving them and they become slightly inconvenienced which apparently allows them to start screaming and cursing for very little reason
@eleven, normally when this happens, I smile at them then just walk away mid sentence. Im not even kidding, my boss said to do that because he thinks the saying "the customer is always right" is a bunch of nonsense, and we shpuldnt have to sit through that kind of abuse from strangers
@Duncan5769, huh your boss has a spine that's pretty rare
@Duncan5769, "the customer is always right" has a back story to it and it's a shame people take that literally. That phrase isn't what it actually means.
@hasher22 , The customer is only right when they have had a legitimate and serious problem. In other words. They bought a defective product. Then yeah an exchange or refund is in order. However that phrase is not a green light to be an ass.
“Thats what I think it means anyway.”
@Duncan5769, The owner of the place I work allows us to hang up on customer who start cursing and yelling at us on the phone. He likes to try to get them to calm down first. But if you cant. Hanging up is an option.
