That was terrible. Sometimes it would take like 3 min to load one page because of gifs and graphics and video embedded and that damn song you couldn’t find where to press stop.
@MrTrivia, and that damned glittery background that so many people had. "Look at my page. I write in dark neon pink and green with a black background that glitters." It was awful.
@MrTrivia, because of that ever so lovely 90s internet dial up speed... that we still had in the early 2000s, for some reason.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, I was gonna say, probably wouldn't have loading issues nowadays unless you just still have really sh!tty internet
@MrTrivia, most people also had phone cord internet back then which couldnt even load googles home page.
@MrTrivia, But if you were willing to invest the time to get through that, it was the tinder of its generation. Younger me got so many hookups from that place.
Where else will i be able to blast crawling in my skin? I need the world to know how i feel
And we’re two generations removed from geocities.
@StochasticTinker, geowhatnow? Heh, just kidding. Don't forget Angelfire! And I kinda miss the good ol' days of AOL. But that's mostly childhood nostalgia.
Ha, freaking Neopets had this ability. They say we’ve made progress as a society, but we’ve totally regressed since those days.
@airguitarpro, I mean of course we have, I don't see my Neopet anywhere...
I miss MySpace......
@aWetFlatulant, said no one
MySpace was the shiiiizzz
