Can we all agree in this case the circles were actually helpful?
@waymo , they are always helpful. Let's face it, there are some who would always need the circles.
@waymo , I mean it could be from Canada, so the circle could be more helpful
$6.00? That's a steal! I spent ~$150 last year and I tried to sell them back and they offered me $7. I wasn't going to give that to them
@18bluecat, honestly, the balls that they have to sell those books at outrageous prices knowing full well how expensive college is. And $7? Are you fvcking kidding me??!
@18bluecat, the red circle is covering a third 0, the price is actually $6.000
@18bluecat, try amazon trade in for your textbooks. When I was in college i got ~40% back on some of my books. I would buy them used and keep them in good shape. Amazon pays only in amazon gift money but they pay well
@18bluecat, no, in my opinion, if a book is available on piratebay, get it there. Maybe the schools will stop using textbooks and start using respectable peer-reviewed journals.
@18bluecat, same thing happened to me once. I got so mad that I just been keeping all college books and creating a collection that I can review or revisit later.
@Reykhi, I just donated the ones I was sure I didn't need
@18bluecat, my Spanish textbook alone was $190. No bueno.
Worst part is that $4.95 is the new price. I think that this book is used.
@Tytinn, due to the fact that it says, "used text," I've come to the same conclusion that it is, in fact, used.
@SWAT the fireman, but just the text is used, the book is brand new.
@Caine, after the dictionary was published all text was used.
You’re paying extra for all the highlights and penises drawn by the previous owners
This happened to me recently. Bought a book for ten bucks + shipping, and when I received it it had a price tag for 99 cents on it.
My last two years of college i just rented my books
@megamanx181x, most universities have the books in the library, and that’s free to students. But you gotta get them and renew them before other students. Older editions are also excellent in the basic science/math classes, since the only real “update” are the photos, or just rearranging the end of chapter questions.
@Cringer, hmm never figured that
If you buy it it's your own dumbass fault for not looking online first
Tao te ching?!?!?! More like cha ching
So? Old books may have a low price on them but due to inflation, price may go up.
@imkrazy182, I was thinking the same thing. If it's out of print, the retail price when it first sold is no longer relevant.
