@CrazyCrichton , Yeah... like how when coal companies use to pay their employees with company cash. Slavery with extra steps. Why do you think they go to such lengths to sue now a days when anyone speaks the truth about them like John Oliver did. They are still pissed about having to stop that. Sold my soul to the company store.

@dada1012, eh gotta disagree. My favorite is still Winter Soldier but that movie was damn near perfect. That being said BP was better than any other Marvel or DC movie I’ve seen. It had a phenomenal OST, a talented cast that killed their performance, and had amazing action and humor that made sense and wasn’t forced (looking at you Thor). I loved every minute of the movie and will likely see it at least once more in theaters

@dada1012, i think it’s better than middle of the pack but even at middle, that still puts it as a damn fine movie. I respect your opinion and I’ll straight up fight your coworkers that don’t let you have an opinion that differs from theirs. Anyway, I liked it. The fact it gave a certain demographic better representation is just icing on the cake. I like rhinos. I like science and cool science weapons. I like spears and swords and stuff. This movie hit me in all the right spots. That general is 10x better than the BP she serves.

@TR8R, im disappointed because i am a massive fan of BP. Have been for a while. And yet the movie threw out a lot of the culture and identity of BP. Where was Bast? Where was the mysticism and magic? The whole movies plot could have been thrown out because Bast would not have allowed T'Challa to be de throned like that. In the comics Bast is another charecter with a back story and personality. A constant friend, guide and mentor to any existing BP. And then the movie had the gall to end with Erick saying his ancestors where slaves? He is a royal heir to the throne of Wakanda. His ancestors never even knew the word slavery or what it meant to be subjugated. They where fing kings and queens of the most powerful, if secret, country in the planet. Its as if the directors expected us to forget Eric is of royal heritage. I could go on but then people would say stupid stuff like im racist or a traitor. Makes me sad that simple fan criticism is no longer allowed.

@LaDarkProphet, same here. But you really should’ve stopped at “in the comics”. The MCU is completely separate from the world of the comics, so judging the movie based on something that tells a different story is pointless. Furthermore I thought the amount of mysticism we were shown was enough to be intriguing and mysterious but not so overpowering so as to distract from the point of the movie. I had no interest in seeing Bast as anything other than their mysterious god on the big screen.

@LaDarkProphet, as for killmonger I think ancestors was a poor choice of words. However to me it was pretty obvious Erik was speaking about enslaved blacks as a whole, not necessarily his actual blood ancestors. Besides you go back far enough it’s not unreasonable to think part of his bloodline would’ve spread beyond Wakanda.

@LaDarkProphet, fair enough. I love this movie so I’m passionate about defending it, but I’m not so shallow as to think people with different opinions are racist. Everyone likes different things! Honestly I’m just sad that people don’t get the joy I did out of the movie, I want people to feel what I did hehe
No, I love black people and care about them all. If I could get all the black people and bring them together on a farm...wait...
