*Opens the door* Right this way sir
If you actually believe he would do that. You are whats wrong with America.
Its one thing to be a supporter of Trump because you agree with his policies. Its another to believe every word that comes out of his mouth.
Theres a phrase for when people believe obvious lies. Its called being gullible. Being gullible usually means making bad decisions. There are even stories about it in nearly every religion and even fairy tales that are told to teach children not to be gullible.
@Seohn, dude, honestly, who cares? It's just banter.
@Doctor Krieger, you fool you've just unleashed the horror known as an upset liberal
@Seohn, it's fine if you believe him. Fine if you don't. Blaming and shaming the other party who disagrees with you is what's wrong with this country.
@Uranusisbig, ahh but I did not mention parties. I mentioned supporters. You can support someone and not be of their party. Thats the parties convincing people its us or them. Which is part of the problem and why nothing ever gets done.
Blaming others for the problems is part of whats wrong. Thats true. I don’t blame parties for problems. I do blame the lack of taught logical and scientific reasoning for a lot of the problems that continue to happen.
@Doctor Krieger, When it’s a public statement by the President of The United States on as serious a topic as this, it’s never ‘just banter’. However anyone may feel about the man, the office he holds means that what he says publicly matters.
@Seohn, I think Uranusisbig meant ‘party’ as in a pronoun for the person/people involved, not as in Republican/Democrat.
@Nellybert , That may be so. Then I’ll rephrase it. Its fine for people to disagree however the people that believe he would do what he said in that statement are failing to use logical or scientific reasoning if they believe he would do that. His actions and statements of the past prove otherwise. Theres a certain point where its no longer blaming. But pointing empirical evidence.
As much as I hate the blame game because it does nothing to solve the problem. The man’s a compulsive liar. He has some good policies. And a lot more of it would go through if he would be a little smarter about how he plays his hand. But he says a lot of dumb things which only hurts his cause when trying to convince the people in the middle ground. He isn’t learning from his mistakes. So Its necessary for the people who support him the most to tell him. Hey, stop saying such dumb lies and focus on your job.
The whole statements just silly. Only somebody who’s joking around would saying something so dumb. And only someone really dumb would say it during a serious conversation.
@Seohn, another example would be believing socialism would actually work.
@Nellybert , bullshìt. It's always just banter. Trump was elected on banter. He's an entertainer for Christ's sake! Stop being such a pearl-clutching snowflake, why don't you?
@Seohn, Mate, I’m not defending Trump’s statement or commenting on him/his policies, I was just clarifying the use of the word ‘party’.
Whatever else he has ever said/done, that statement would rank alongside “my dad owns XBox Live and I can get you banned” on the ‘load of bollocks’ scale - but to make that claim while publicly condemning man without trial and before the evidence has been presented is appalling.
@Doctor Krieger, rough day?
@Nellybert , which is ironic because he has repeatedly slammed similar behavior when it is applied to men accused of sexually or physically assaulting women.
@groundpounder04, ...You know that socialism is just government regulation of business, right? Every country on Earth has socialist policies.
You're probably thinking of communism, where every business is publicly owned and everyone is paid a government-determined amount.
@Seohn, I did not mean parties as in political parties. I meant parties as in two groups of people with opposing views.
And good you say that. That's a different you from the first comment.
@Seohn, that's very condescending of you to say. People who believe him may be gullible, you may be right. But you can't expect everyone not to be gullible, you are gullible some of the time. You are being gullible if you don't think so...
The man is just another politician. Hillary and Bernie lie just the same. Difference is Trump doesn't apologize, that's what triggers some people.
@Uranusisbig, Yeah they all lie. But I personally view gullible as falling for obvious lies. This statement is an obvious lie one that only a person with no ability to critically analyze would believe. Being extremely easily persuaded to believe something.
Its one thing if you elect a person who says they’ll do something because that aligns with your viewpoint and they don’t. And other to fall for outright obvious lies.
Voting for politicians who don’t do what they say they’ll do It happens all the time. And sometimes they try and it gets blocked. I vote based on who bashes their opponent the least and who focuses more on explaining why they’re qualified.
However part of the reason the voting age is 18 is by then you should know how to spot an out right obvious lie. The only reason to believe something as obvious as this statement is a complete lack of critical thinking skills. Which means that person lacks capacity to make good choices.
@Uranusisbig, I’m not condescending about all his supporters. Some really are smart people who just want the cycle to stop.
No The people I’m specifically talking about are the people who believe everything. The ones who see an obvious and outlandish lie and still believe it as true.
I’ve tried being reasonable but there is a certain point where. If they still defend such an obvious lie as truth. They are no longer within reason. They lack all critically thinking skills. And a person who lacks all critical thinking skills literally is part of the problem. They’re unable to make good decisions based on data or logical choices.
I suppose it may seem condescending though. I think of it as pointing out what should be obvious.
To these people I say. Everything Trump says is truth. You make great decisions. You can believe me.
(I think I just created a conundrum for some people. To believe that last part is to be gullible. To call it me a lair is to go against what Trump says.)
@Doctor Krieger, that banter is the problem because than banter regresses us as a society and empowers idiots that have an iq less than an ant. The president should be an honorable role not some sh1tshow
@Seohn, third time ive repeated this hes done things like this before. But not that you would knkw that you only listen to propaganda.
@Depressed Panda, i mean true but ussually when people say socialism they are talking about when the government starts getting involved in private sectors they should not be involved in and taking peoples private property, and not just having controle of electricity and water so a town doesnt have to change the citys entire plumbing and electrical system every time someone wants to change plans.
Not sure whats worse though. The obvious lie he spoke when he said that. Or that the last sentence called it this months mass shooting”.
Because you know we’ve upgraded from this years mass shooting to counting them by months now.
@Seohn, and yet they make up a fraction of a percent of all homicides in the country. Fancy that, the media focusing on a statistical outlier to leverage their political agenda, and without a fücking clue about the very thing they want to ban. Astonishing!
Also, prove that he was lying. I personally see it as empty banter, but you're making an assertion here without any real proof. Just "muh Drumpf".
@Doctor Krieger, you dare use logic!?! HOW DARE YOU! This man just used logic!!!
@Doctor Krieger, empty banter is the reserve of people enjoying a drink or kids on the playground- not suitable for a president
@Doctor Krieger, he got two deferments from two different wars over a "bone spur". When he was asked which leg the bone spur was in he said both, then he said he couldn't remember.
I don't think that guy has an ounce of bravery in his soul. He passed on two different opportunities to serve his country in combat, yet he claims he'd go into a building unarmed versus a shooter. Yeah, do you actually believe it's not a lie?
You can't just say when he says outrageous things like this that "it's just banter", but when he says things that makes sense (which he does sometimes) you say, oh look my amazing president. Don't pick and choose what he says as banter or as seriousness.
@Mhael, most of what the dude says is banter. The guy was elected on mostly banter. He's a showman, an entertainer, it's what he does by trade.
Also, I couldn't care less if he "draft dodged". Conscription is bullshït. Compelling someone to fight someone else's wars for them is tyranny.
But hey, please continue to be an offended pearl-clutching snowflake. It worked so well for the Evangelocons, after all!
@Doctor Krieger, I actually agree with the conscription bit. But at the same time you can't claim to be brave when you dodge drafts. It's just hypocritical.
And BTW, are you okay man? Everything okay at home? I'm genuinely concerned. All of your posts are always angry or salty.
@Mhael, what's brave about risking death at someone else's behest? What's brave about dying for something you don't value? That's stupidity.
Also, cut it out with the concern trolling. You're sitting here behaving like a partisan hack. Of course my response is going to be irate.
@Doctor Krieger, dying for your country is considered brave. You're not dying for someone you don't know, you're dying to protect the stature of the United States. You saying all the brave soldiers over the years who have died for your sake, and for your right to sit here and mouth them off, isn't brave is extremely insulting to their memory
I'm a moderate republican.... You just assume that I'm being partisan because I'm anti-trump. The truth is, I'm just antri-trump. Everything he's said in the elections he went back on.
And no, you're always irate regardless of the subject. I'm not concern trolling, there's something wrong when you're always angry in every comment you write. I am actually worried about you.
@Mhael, yes, most of those that died "for our country" really died for our politicians. The military industrial complex is a complete farce. It grinds up men and shìts out gold and nobody cares question it because we're told it's sacrosanct. I'm not disrespecting the men who died, I'm criticising to what end they died.
Also, never said you were a Democratic hack. Typical, though, that you're "anti-Trump", as if the person expressing the idea is more important than the idea itself. Tribalism.
@Doctor Krieger, you said I'm being partisan. Who am I bring partisan against? I'm from the same party so Trump.... You do understand what partisan means right?
@Mhael, so, you're going to pretend that #NeverTrump was never a thing and that partisan Republicans are A-OK with Trump?
@Doctor Krieger, so calling out a politician as a liar and pointing out all the hypocrisies in his opinions is now called partisan?
@Mhael, again, you can't prove that he's lying here. The idea that you would get upset over banter, from Trump of all people, is just absurd. You're being asinine.
@Doctor Krieger, you get deferments from war, then you go and say that you'd sacrifice your life for the sake of others in a school shooting. Be realistic. You're just blindly supporting him no matter what you say. If you could just open your eyes for a second... Anyways I'm done, you're clearly set in your ways.
Good luck with all the issues you have in your life. I truly hope they get resolved. I won't be responding anymore so feel free to say or do whatever you want.
@Mhael, I'm not a Trump supporter, I'm just not a puritanical pearl-clutcher who is constantly concerned with whether or not what Trump said was "offensive". There's real desperate shìt going on in the world and you're concerning yourself with petty political drama.
@Doctor Krieger, reducing an event to a statistic is a dishonest tactic. According to that logic, homicides of police officers would also be insignificant because they also make up a fraction of a percent. Beware of this tactic because their may be something you support and it just might be a statistical outlier as well. And just to spare you the time of presuming me to be something I am not, I am a gun supporter.
@Doctor Krieger, while the first part of your statement is true the second part is just retarded. You can easily judge trumps character by previous things hes said and his actions. If you would have made an argument that maybe we should focus on how more people die then i would kind of agree with you. However, protecting our kids is more important than protecting others, its build into our genetic code, mammals protect their children at all costs (unless you're an orange cheeto)
@Seohn, the dude once got out of his limo to stop a mugging. Okay you dont know what you're talking about.
@Mhael, again someone who doesnt know what hes talking about when hes talking about trump what a shocker.
@Doctor Krieger, But he supports our troops... a supporter of troops would never do something so disrespectful to the troops that joined before any of those wars and were forced into them. So disrespectful as dodging the draft.
Regardless of whether not he agreed with the wars a patriot and someone respectful of a country they claim to love never do so dihonorable and cowardly snowflake thing like dodge the draft.
@Doctor Krieger, You’re right it probably was just empty banter but it’s still a lie even if it is banter because it’s not true therefore it’s a lie. Banter can be a lie to. “Dropped some logic on ya son. BOOM”.
@Doctor Krieger, By the way I’m not against banning guns. I am however against doing exactly the same thing we’ve done for the last decades. Apparently what we’ve been doing is not working so it’s time to at least try something new. Such as I don’t know maybe mental health checks. I mean if you’re not crazy and your suitable to have a gun well then that’s ok. But if you are disturbed perhaps you shouldn’t have them.
People who choose to do absolutely nothing rather than to try something new to try to fix the problem. People who stick to the old ways knowing full well it’s not going to solve the problem. They now know they are only helping the crazy. Because they know full well that the old way is not working. They know full well that to do nothing will not fix the problem. So they are choosing to allow crazy people to have guns.
@Mhael, The angry all the time person doesn’t realize is that people like him that continue to blame everyone in a hateful way are what drive these crazy people to say, I agree with you so I’m going to do something about it. Which usually turns violent.
Rather than have respectful and civil discussion’s. And respect that other people have a different opinion.
@BlazingBowman, I looked up that article that suddenly popped up after him saying things about the shooting.
Maybe he did have the driver pull over. Maybe him stepping out of the car and a crowd of people saying look there’s Trump was enough to deter a guy with a baseball bat. I mean if you’re a famous person and you know the moment the crowd spots you it’s going to draw attention. Which would also get a guy attacking another person to stop in most cases. Because they see a group of people looking their way. It’s easy to stop something that’s happening on the street like that. But running in against a semi automatic weapon as loud and powerful as the one the shooter used. That’s a whole other story.
Even I would help someone being attacked by another person with a bat. However I would not run in unarmed against gunfire from an AR-15. I have fired that weapon. I’ve seen first hand how powerful it is. And not knowing exactly where it’s coming from would make it worse.
@Doctor Krieger, Normally I don’t have a problem with people who dodge the draft. To each their own.
However when someone dodges the draft and then claims they would run in unarmed against an AR-15. That’s bullsh:t. As they say, if it looks like bullsh:t and smells like it.
Also as was said by another on here. He is known for being an entertainer which means a lot of what he says is for entertainment. Theres enough evidence to conclude that what he said was bullsh:t.
Not to support or denounce the comment but in the spirit of accuracy. The rest of the quote was something like: “I think everyone in this room would”.
@Dyslexic eman resu, media cut out the rest of his statement..it was well within reasoning for what he said..but you know, "editing"
Still a better response than the armed cop that waited outside
@Mister6, Im not sure what the cop said. But its hard to say anything dumber that isn’t a joke. He probably would think its just popcorn he’s running to.
Having fired an AR-15. I doubt I would run into a place unarmed thats under fire by a semiautomatic weapon such as that. In fact very few people would.
But theres a difference between bravery running into fire seeking out the danger. And bravery while you’re already in it because you have no choice.
And anyone who says they wouldn’t be afraid is a damn lair or an idiot. Bravery doesn’t mean lack of fear. But being stupid usually does.
Yeah, you totally have a clue what you're talking about...
I'd absolutely enter a building armed with a handgun chambered in 9mm Luger to confront a man with a rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, especially if it was my entire job to do so. The dude was trained, had the element of surprise, and had 3 other officers present, and that's not to mention that a large number of active shooters commit suicide upon arrival of law enforcement. Everything was in the officer's favor, to the extent that it could be, and he chose to abandon his duty.
@Seohn, ar-16? Lol besides the fact that this entire thing is hypothetical and your previous comments talking about Trumps “obvious lie”(again in a hypothetical situation so you have absolutely zero knowledge of what would actually happen so all your previous comments are retarded and pointless) 4 trained, armed, wearing body armor police officers should not have any issue taking a suspect down. Especially if they are just in a school hallway.
They took their oath to act and if necessary give their lives in the line of duty. Do not get me wrong; I don’t wish death on anyone and it would be a terribly sad event for them to get hurt or killed. But that was the career they chose and a police officer has to reconcile that fact in their lives.
And thirdly no one knows how they would act in a situation like that without intense training or having been there before. However officers are trained for these scenarios.
@Mister6, his job was to protect people and he failed to do that, so he shouldn't be a cop anymore. That's fair.
However, being a human being with a healthy fear of death is not wrong. Most people in his situation, I think, would not have gone in.
I don't think he deserves all of the hate he's gotten for this. Especially not from the people who claim that they totally would've charged in to rescue those kids. If we're being honest, most people are lying when they say that, even if they believe it.
@Depressed Panda, Except the cop was following what he was trained to do. He had been called in due to “firing outside near school grounds.” Hearing the gunshots, they seemed to be outside near the football field. In this situation, he is taught to wait for back up and assess the situation from safety, which he did. In this case, I do not believe the cop is to blame, I think the police force in general is at fault for not following with more force more rapidly, as well as the loose regulation around guns and ammo which allowed this wretched human to acquire an ar-15 as well as seemingly “endless amounts of ammunition.”
@airguitarpro, he was fired by his boss for lack of duty..... To serve and protect....
@Seohn, ar-16 lmfao I own 1 M4A2 and 1 M4. Why because I didn't want to pay over $1000.00 for an Armalite Rifle - 15. And yeah I'd run towards the shots unarmed . why? Because they are kids. I'm 41 my son would get all my rifles/ possessions. Kids have more time to loose.
@Doctor Krieger, Typo. AR-15. Yeah I didn’t catch that until now.
yes the officer did have training. But you don’t go into that line of work expecting to have to gun fight every day. They may have never experienced that. And until you’re actually in it you don’t know how you’re going to react. Some people just freeze up.
And if I heard correctly. The officer ended up resigning. Which means he decided that wasn’t the job for him.
As for Trump being a liar. Based on his history it’s safe to assume that what he says is a lie. Someone who lies about petty stuff compulsively. Typically doesn’t speak the truth about much of anything.
You know what, I take that back. Assuming he’s even able to run, He would definitely run in there unarmed. . . with his Secret Service team right in front of him as the meat shield. That would totally makes him brave.
He would run in yelling. Forget due process. Take their guns away first.
I mean, he did breakup a mugging when he was younger, so you never know
@officercoolguy, mugging with ball bat is not the same as guy with gun. Even I would stop someone with a bat. Someone with a gun and I unarmed. Is questionable what I would do.
I believe him, you know why? Because he has a small army of secret service and bodyguards who would f*CK up any school shooter. Ok trump just needs to walk near the school and theyd take that shooter out
@The Aussie, I'm imagining him in a cape running around and fighting crime with his secret service detail. The mighty Cheeto Man is here to save the day and, frankly, nobody saves the day better than him!
Coming from a man who can't even handle a mean Tweet, I strongly doubt it.
But those bone spurs tho.
I mean the dude once got out of his limo to beat up a guy who was mugging someone.
Despite the bone spurs?!?!
president? more like
I actually lol’d when I heard that he said that. Nothing he does indicates he would ever do anything that doesn’t benefit himself or his family
We need a meme that has this same statements only with Trumps face imposed over Rambo. Because with so much fiction coming out of his mouth. Someone should help him fulfill his dream of being an Action Star. A dream he must be hinting at by saying such things.
I'm not getting in his way.
I bet he can't even run
@JonathanDsouza, the last time someone made that bet, they lost. Bigly.
I just don't care anymore
