My current state of being. Had to ask a coworker how to fill out a tax form and text my dad about health insurance and a 401K since he never taught me how to and schools apparently don't think that's important information.
@ nerdlover4474, but at least you know photosynthesis
@Tegu Trump, that information really helps at my bank job let me tell you
@ nerdlover4474, eh it’s all easy. Good news is that if you are poor enough, you can file taxes for free with most places like HR Block. And put into 401k early while you can.
@ nerdlover4474, what’s crazy is the high school I went to actually taught stuff about our government but still didn’t feel the need to teach us about taxes and why they exist. Nor did the class teach about 401K.
@ nerdlover4474, at least you know that the mitochondria is the power house of the cell!
@Tegu Trump, yes, it's the powerhouse of the plant. Side not, I didn't do well in biology.
@ nerdlover4474, actually a lot of Econ classes teach these things in high school. Most kids just don’t care enough to pay attention
Lucky kid getting a job right out of college
@Tegu Trump, yeah, it kinda pisses me off when people complain about their non-retail, non-fast food, non-other-dead-end jobs. I graduated with my Bachelor's in 2013. Years ago that would have made employers INSTANTLY MOIST.
Out of college? That's pretty much at every age. Right when you figure it out, you die.
I worked with a mid-30s woman for a short period of time who had 3 degrees but wasn't ready to grow up and get an adult job utilizing them so she worked retail and a gas station job both of which she got fired from for trying to start highschool bs
32 years old and still living like I always been, just I got my own credit cards
When you get a job right out of college and you gotta do adult stuff but you're still inside a kid
