I need a pet, anyone have any suggestions on a small easy to care for ?
@Skateboarding Hippie, if you're not opposed to reptiles, leopard geckos are awesome and easy to care for....if you are opposed to reptiles, gerbils are the best rodent pets out there
@Skateboarding Hippie, pet rocks are pretty good.
@sneskid, I said easy to care for, not high maintenance guy
@Tegu Trump, I feel open to a reptile, I’m just scared when I try to play with them they’ll run away or something
@Skateboarding Hippie, leopard geckos aren't super fast, just keep an eye on them, don't grab their tails, and watch out when you hold them they sometimes get brave and try to jump....but they don't need large tanks, don't need special lighting; check out a care guide online and you'll be set
@Skateboarding Hippie, also, snakes are super easy to care for and generally love being handled, and hognose snakes stay under 3 feet and are very tame
@Skateboarding Hippie, well if you want something easy but something intimate then i would recommend a love bird, or if you're willing to spend a little a sun conure. The love bird is really tiny and super easy to take care of, just seed, water, and love. Not much mess. The conure has basic bird maintenance and is a little more needy but still good for first owners. Don't let the size of the love bird fool you, they have a habit of cuddling into breast pockets and just being with you. They have a lot of personality for being 2 inches tall
@Skateboarding Hippie, get a caucasian shepherd.
@Skateboarding Hippie, rats are really easy to care for. They're very smart, so you can train them if you like. If you get males, they're very cuddly. You need to get at least two though, because they're social animals and they get depressed on their own.
@Skateboarding Hippie, I had pet rats and my little girl Ratticus was like a tiny puppy. She would sit in my sleeve and lick my thumb and nap while I gamed or watched something. She was easily trained and I even was able to leash train her. Rats are very sweet and smart animals and I found them to be extremely affectionate as well as easy to care for. I got Ratticus when she was quite young and hand raised her to ride on my shoulders with me in my home.
@Skateboarding Hippie, snake you don't have to do much just feed it every so often and clean it's cage
@Skateboarding Hippie, Guinea pigs are cool, they don't require too much work and they live about seven years. You can also take them out and play with them. Lizards usually raise your electric bill if you need lights on all the time.
@CrazyRightWinger, guinea pigs are kinda some work. Gotta have at least two, have the right amount of space, and have to make sure that whatever bedding you choose, you will have to constantly clean as they get sick easily. But darn it they are worth it.
