What the heck is a ground ball?
@benderama, baseball term for a ball hit bouncing or rolling on the ground. Always a bad hop away from losing a tooth in baseball.
Balls to the face .... that’s funny
@Randy Lorde Marsh , I thought this was America.
In high school, I had a flyball short hop me and nail me in the man parts. When I immediately fell to the ground, everyone knew I forgot to wear my cup that day.
@Michael Jay Caboose, with or without a cup it still hurts like a bitch
@Michael Jay Caboose, But ever since you sing like an angel
@EatMyAss, always did want to be a soprano.
@Uwere0wned2, true statement,
Dude you need to suck it up and take it like a man all 3 inches, your his b!tch now
Groundball as in a grounder in baseball? Thats all I can think of
@Petersquatch, yep yep, they take a bad hop off a pebble or a cleat indent and you can kiss your nose or your cheek bone goodbye. I once took a grounder to the throat off a bad skip on a practice field.
@Double A Ron , yeah I know, I played baseball for 7 years, I've just never heard it called a groundball.
@Petersquatch, well this guy feels his masculinity is threatened by an 8 year old, so terminology is probably the least of his worries
@Petersquatch, I've heard both. Although grounder is still more common where I live.
@Double A Ron , my dad has a classmate that took a grounder to the throat and it instantly killed him... alright maybe not so instantly but you get the picture... not pretty.
@Petersquatch, really? I hear tons of announcers say it all the time
@Petersquatch, weird. I wonder if it’s a regional thing. I’ve heard both, but ground ball is very common here. I’m in CA
