I need some context to determine who the dick in this scenario is
@Richard Cypher, exactly. The guy re-re calling him out actually seems like the bigger *sshole.
@WhoseLineIsItAnyway, the second guy could have been saying some off the wall bs then says he went to a better school so he knows what he’s talking about.
@Richard Cypher, everyone is equally as much of a dick until proven otherwise
@Richard Cypher, context: Steve Hofstetter is a comedian, and he fvcks with hecklers. That's all I know.
No idea what the initial post was
@Richard Cypher, I feel like if you're challenged by someone who says you didn't go to a good school you should be able to slap back with the fact that you did. It doesn't seem like he's bragging a ton. He's just proofing the other dude wrong.
@stormageddon98, I don’t know that it’s a “good school bad school” situation, per se. The first guy says “probably in Cali.” Odds are the guy is making the assumption based on a stance that the second guy presented on whatever topic. Usually, I hear California schools being made fun of as being “safe space” environments where all the students are presumed snowflakes. If I had to assume some context, that’s where I’d be going.
@Richard Cypher, that’s actually a comedian who’s known for destroying hecklers on stage. Looks like one leaked over into the internet.
@Berntley, based on the reply, I would say the 2nd guy had said something about American history, most likely left leaning something or another, so the guy assumed he went to school in California, which is about as left leaning as states go. Not saying he went to a bad school, just many universities can be pretty left leaning(at least the vocal portion e.g. Berkeley)
@TheWhiteWolf, *until proven dickless
@Berntley, not intended to start a fight, but you're partially right. Having grown up in California, my education experience through middle and high school the 'snowflake idea' was indeed expressed. But, the kids did not practice this theory, and I had the pleasure of experiencing all the heckling, ridicule, and abuse any classic teen in an 80's teen movie endured. And that's just my report from SoCal.
@Duece Bhagger, oh, I know. I don’t personally subscribe to such generalizations. Just saying, that’s kind of the stereotype. At least from my personal exposure.
@Richard Cypher, all I know is the first one got wrecked
He's going to need the whole fire department to put out that burn
Class, here is a textbook example of "class warfare". Notice the initial tone of the blue collared man indicts that he disagrees with the comedians opinion made on a public forum and generalizes him an idiot leftist from Cali. Generalizations usually stem from ignorance and can affect everyone; including the comedian. In his response to Blue, which is his right on this public forum, he disparages his education being based on construction instead of his somewhat more important higher degree; notice that he appears to have a disdain for the working class similar to blue's disdain for upper class. In conclusion, we can properly presume that Facebook brings out the worst in people, and that anyone in capable of groan-inducing condescension.
Don't forget to do next week's hw on how Twitter fights and High school drama are similar!
@ptitty1231, actually, he doesn’t go into what Blue’s degree is and just tells him to take the construction course to help him with his Glass house
What kind of burn is “probably in cali”? Cali has a ton of schools, a lot of them really great...
@InsaneWolf, maybe he was trying to call him a liberal whackjob, because that's what a lot of people call Californians, but yeah, there are a lot if good universities in Cali
Maybe if more people went to a vocational school the jobless rate would be lower and student debt wouldn’t be as bad.
This is the kind of burn that only leaves an ashy silhouette on the wall behind where the target once stood.
Hello, police? I need to report a murder.
