If we combine the two we’d get one helluva sport.
@Sarcastic Wombat, I've just witnessed the best suggestion ever.
@Sarcastic Wombat, then make it a 100 person battle royal. Thatd be sweet
@Sarcastic Wombat, we used to do this with Roman candles and 4 wheelers. Good times til you lose.
@Sarcastic Wombat, a summer version of the biathlon. I'd watch it.
Can you believe Europe wants to put a ban on mountain bikes?!
@SurgeonSean, they’re called assault bikes
For our European friends, this is not what America is actually like. I live in a deeply conservative state, and have never seen anything like it. Heck, I rarely see guns tbh
@BeauTheServiceDog, it's an art piece attempting to show how easy it is to get a gun. Of course the artist left out things like background checks, age requirements, etc. Whatever.
@fuddruckers, get your facts out of here!
@AlQaholic, sorry about that. I forgot the internet isn't a place for that. My bad!!
@fuddruckers, “I put these fake guns here to show people how easy it is to get a real gun! It totally makes sense!”
@fuddruckers, keep telling yourself that
@fuddruckers, I'm sure they only left those out because, regardless of those requirements and backgrounds checks, it's still too easy to get a gun in a liberal's eyes
@Orlandude, ok I will. Dude I live in California. One of the most restrictive states out there. By assuming all Americans get guns namely "assault rifles" are that easy then why can't I buy them? Also, seeing as we have banned them kinda sorta and made more laws we still have mass shootings. The long beach killer used a car for 50% of his killings. I'm not saying we don't have a gun problem. We have a problem, sure as sh1t we do. However! Making false statements with sh1t art only dumbs down the argument entirely!!!! Right? Can we agree on that? Of course we can because were both reasonable humans who believe in reasonable discourse.
10k homicides a year, 6kish are from hand guns, 2k from suicides? And the rest are are homicides/self defense/ accidental. Sorry for not the most accurate stats. It's been a minute since I've brought FACTS to the internet. Most homicides are done via....HANDGUNS. not assault rifles, which is erroneous and misleading. So why make an art piece showing lies
@Daps295, the fact I own 6 guns yet have never killed anyone would drastically hurt that narrative, right? Whatever. As a gun owner I'm well aware guns have a limited life time in the US. As much as my friends say they will not "molon labe" or be a "3%".. they will either A force to register and pray they don't caught or they will surrender their weapons. Why? Because people are weak. Ok, I'm going to bed now.
If anyone is curious as to my plan? Honestly I don't know....we'll see what path I choose.
@fuddruckers, i agree with you and I dont think its all Americans either, and I do like how California there is all that, but the problem is, that in other states its could be much easier and its very simple to just go anywhere with a gun from another state, same with getting gun licenses. It may be very restricting to get a gun in new york, but just get a very easily attainable licence from florida and youre good. Also, in your first comment you said just guns not automatic weapons, and yes I understand that it is, even in very lenient places, much harder to get but to get just a get, yes it is VERY easy, and like you said is the cause of most homicides. I think america doesnt really have a gun problem, I think they have a problem with guns.
@fuddruckers, goodnight :)
@Orlandude, but that isn't true...ok in 75% of the states that isn't true. I'm asking you, prove me wrong. If I have a California CCw a really hard permit to get I add, I can't drive into Nevada and carry my weapon ccw. Unless a law has changed. I dont live in Nevada so I can't say for sure anymore. Point being, that isn't entirely true. As a California resident I'm not aware of any states I can go to get a gun THAT day or any day and then leave with that day or any day. I MAY be able to open carry on Arizona and other constitutional carry states but I don't carry interstate so, not a knowledge area for me.
@fuddruckers, there are a handful of states that will honor a CCW from other states. There are also some with no residency requirement, meaning you can apply even if you don't live there. That doesn't mean you can carry in CA with that out of state permit, but when you visit the handful of states that will honor it you can carry. I believe NV is one of them, too.
@fuddruckers, in Louisiana you can walk into a store and walk out with a hand gun. They do a background check, but don't wait for it to clear. If you fail it, they notify you to return the gun. Fail to return the gun and the police will be knocking on your door.
@fuddruckers, I would love to be able to walk down the street and find a gun stand like that and just fire off a few rounds of different types of guns.
Also that’s why so many of us like the universal concealed carry permits that work for all states.
@Steve the cat, ok cool. I've been out of the interstate gun law knowledge for a bit now.
@Orlandude, I live in Orlando
@phyrehazurd, that sounds kind of strange. I live in Delaware you have to fill out paperwork then they make a phone call to get the all clear. It's about a 30 minute process from start to finish but I couldn't imagine them doing it like you described.
Why is everyone so obsessed with guns?
@benderama, because the Russians want us to keep fighting amongst ourselves.
@benderama, it's not a gun obsession with me. I grew up living on a ranch, grew up as a farm hand, now I work in "public safety". Guns are tools for us mountain folks. We also load the Darwin awards up for ya'll so you're welcome.
@big freedom, it's not just the Russians who benefit too, big corporations and governments basically all want people to fight among themselves so they don't have time to fight the real threats.
@The Aussie, that is so true. Wish people would understand that they go hand in hand.
@benderama, they are fun to shoot and I can protect my family. It's a win/win.
And that is why we have our freedom and they have tea...oh no wait, we tossed that sh!t in the harbor along with their taxation without representation.
We have bike rentals in America too.
@Spider4x, especially in San Diego now. Been popping up like weeds.
Backstory of the gun thing?
@FoodOverPeople, art piece that is showing how “easy” it is to get a gun in the United States
@FoodOverPeople, read my commmet. I'm sure i'll be roasted over coals for my veiw soon enough
@fuddruckers, oh okay. I mean I do think it is too easy to get a weapon, as an NRA member myself, so I truly don’t mind more laws or restrictions or waiting periods to get a gun. I’m all for extensive background check and denying people. I just don’t like the whole new stupid millennial/gen z attitude that shows hate towards guns and NRA members who respect the laws more than they ever will. It really makes you want to smash their faces with your fist for being so stupid and love giving up their rights and privacy so much. An embarrassment.
@FoodOverPeople, that's basically the boat I'm in. If America was truly a social experiment then we are showing that loose gun laws dont particularly work. The catch side is that gun restrictions don't work all that well either. So now were stuck. If we did a blanket ban on all guns like the hipsters want it would be literally be bad guys have guns, good guys dont. You will have a gray area of people who refuse to surrender their weapons but otherwise are law abiding citizens. That being the only law they break. The other choices in regulation are to severe in my mindset. We have plenty of laws on the books. Even if someone can walk of a store they still get a back ground check. Maybe make the background system more intertwined so you don't have lack of reporting etc.
@fuddruckers, yeah. I agree. I just don’t like the fact that once I moved to NC, I literally got my rifle and shotgun within no joke, 20 minutes. My background is clean, but still. I got my guns and I wish it was harder and longer than that. I know not all weapons should be banned because I’m not that dumb or blinded. I’d rather have my shotgun or pistol near my bed if there is an intruder than to call 911, while I will get robbed, beat up, killed, girl raped, etc, when all I needed was my gun. I also love the range and just going there and enjoying myself. Do I want to kill anyone? Hell no. I want to go through life never hurting anyone, but if the time calls for it and an intruder/intruders break in, I’m down for a fight with my weapons to protect myself and mine. And this is all coming from a very relaxed guy who is not affiliated with any party, wears nice clothes, from NJ, has a food business and shoots food videos and cooks. Not a crazy red neck or hateful person.
@FoodOverPeople, I'm sorry, you're entire argument failed at "from nj" JK lol you're like me in that regard. I'm a good person, for the most part. I do agree that maybe it is to easy to get a gun same day. But! Why should those restrictions apply to someone who's passed the same check 7 times (me). If I was going to kill someone I have 7 ways to do it by gun (I'm not fyi). Why would I dump money into another money pit just to kill someone? I'd rather buy a beater gun and not worry when I toss it.
I don’t see any problems here
Not enough guns
