What kind of witch craft is this?
@Senorstiffy626, a 3d modeling and/or animation program was used to create this whole scene, camera movements included. They ran the simulation once, then colored the balls based on where they fell. Run the simulation again, and the balls "magically" sort themselves.
@FakeFurball, nope its witchcraft
@FakeFurball, I gotta agree with @Senorstiffy626. Clearly witchcraft.
@FakeFurball, really? I heart it was some type of quartz reacting to sound waves - Facebook is a liar.
@FakeFurball, i would love to know HOW you know this....
@FakeFurball, so wierd that despite how real it looks, the balls falling still felt and seemed uncanny from the onset. I wonder how long it'll be before we can't notice a difference anymore.
@Senorstiffy626, i thought that it could possibly be a video played backwards...I guess that computer modeling program is equally likely
@FakeFurball, can confirm. Im guessing they used a program called nuke. Its super powerful and crazy cool.
@3DAnimator, I doubt you're wrong, there's too much uniformity in the design and no fixing of colors, which would happen to some extent if this were a physical process
@FakeFurball, I agree with you, I do CG art professionally and the way the balls are falling once released has that classic renderer feel. I also think the scale is a bit off, for those to be moving that fast without that much resistance or physics kinda gives it away.
@FakeFurball, This is actually a real thing that has been made on small scale though. It's a probability matrix. The colors are obviously witchcraft though.
@Zerocool11, they look like they're moving too slow and at too high a frame rate. I'd like to see the real thing (if not colored) in super slow mo for reference.
I heard it was real but the balls were all white/clear and the colour was added post production
*imperfect cell voice*
I have so many questions!!!
If I were to watch it 100 times, I would be in awe 100 times.
I just came
But that’s mathematically impossible. The balls should form a “peak” at the center and slope downwards on both sides because of something about probability (I can’t remember the name). I’m talking about the placement of the balls, the color doesn’t pertain to what I’m talking about.
@WickedStyx, i think the middle block actually makes 2 entry point which smooth out the curves
It’s fake. Some style of computer problem is able to track and number the pieces and add the color in later
G G G G GAY PRIDE MONTH
You know there's another much simpler possibility... the marbles are different sizes and there are paths that lead to each part of the bottom.
Crazy how nature do that
Well I am so glad you explained this because I couldn't figure out how this could happen.
Reverse is sooo satisfying
This is really well made, i think its just clever aftereffect at the end , as the ball looks different with a high gloss paint look at the end.
Also simple edit of fall into rainbow color panel downward.
Oh Jesus Christ, I wasn't expecting this! I'm in public for fvck sake, there are other people around!
this is how they get everyone back together in infinity wars 2
It’s great in reverse too
*sees rainbow colors*
Those gays and their pride month. Wtf do they have to be proud of. Grr I'm so offended.
I’m to high for this or not high enough. This has made me not really sure.
Reminds me of The Galton Board
*rubs face in satisfaction*
This is a big “fvck you” and middle finger to entropy
Stop! I can’t get more react than this
I demand an explanation
@Truthcat, it’s fake.
How is that even possible?
