The rest of the world.
The EU and the FCC are quickly going to realize that it's impossible to regulate the entire internet, and that trying will just make it more an even more chaotic place.
@Marida Cruz, yeah but they did plan this whole article 13 thing to happen right after the we've updated our privacy thingy so we would all be distracted. We got until June 20. So 8 days.. yay.
Even if you don't live in the EU share this.
@JustCallMeCozy, oh, it's worse than that. The USA's Net Neutrality law? That got repealed yesterday, on June 11th.
@Marida Cruz, ah fvck, again? Fvcking hell. This is gonna be worse than 2016 was.
@JustCallMeCozy, wait, it's been successfully repealed before?
@Marida Cruz, I thought they got close a couple of years ago?
@JustCallMeCozy, well this time, they didn't just get close. They suceeded. Net Neutrality doesn't exist as a law anymore.
@Marida Cruz, oh fvck.
@Marida Cruz, the internet will become rage 2 real quick
The EU will collapse within 10 to 15 years... I hope.
@Sambob, it's a power hungry, controlling bastard and I'd be glad to see it fall. Country individualism before collectivism!
@Sambob, Britain is just trying to get out ahead of the collapse and everyone hates them for it
@PVT Leonard Church, Italy and Austria are currently holding fast against the EU tyranny and Poland is as based as ever. It odd to think that I'll live through something this big, whether it crashes and burns or we flourish as national pride returns and the native populations regains control.
@Sambob, why would we want national pride to return? We’ve had two wars about this. I’m not saying the EU is perfect, but maybe we fix it rather than letting peace burn
Because you should be allowed to be proud of the things your country has done, be you from France Denmark, Austria, etc.
We shouldn't have to feel like strangers in our own nation, having a broader more defined identity other than black or white or Asian will help hold the peace. Rather than the nebulous boarders of race and creed, the borders of soverenty can unite people and give them common ground.
This is what the EU has erroded and tries to take away. We can't be free to talk in case we offend someone who doesn't identify or want to assimilate into the country they are in. Then it grew to be able to dictate other countries through unelected leaders. They then pushed to dissolve culture and identity of each nation until nations pride was seen as horrible.
I want to be proud to wave the flag of my country without the fear of police arrest for causing a disturbance, because I might of offended somebody not from my homeland.
@Sambob, either the EU collapses, or it successfully turns into a tyrannical authoritarian state. It’s clearly trying to do the latter.
@Sambob, I don’t disagree with you at all here. I just think there is a way to still have at least some form of coalition. Just hoping an institution will fail rather than evolve is a risky gambit
@Justastoner, any trace of EU will return to full strength inevitably, using different means and different morals to push it's agenda and control.
It's cancerous by this point. It ALL needs to go, and individual nations need to enshrine the parts they liked.
@Justastoner, the problem is that it’s still widely frowned upon in both the mainstream media and in general culture to call the organization on its toxicity. If we can’t talk about what they’re doing wrong in the open, there no chance of it evolving away. We’re talking about some countries where it is illegal to openly criticize Islam. Where insulting the poor fashion of a tranny is a jailable offence. Where a JOKE can put you in prison.
The entire debate over free speech is a big black cloud, because there are large organizations that, based on their arguments, are actually against free speech. The silver lining is that people ARE fighting back.
The EU is going to push more and more laws to limit their ability to do so.
*shady man in a dark alley*
Hey kid, want some memes?
*somewhere else in the EU is a large warehouse full of memes, old and new*
*Cops break in, massive gun fight with printed out memes flying everywhere*
"FVCK IT'S A STING OPERATION WE GOTTA GO"
What about these!?
"THEY'RE JUST RAGE COMICS, WE GOTTA GO SECURE THE LOSS AND SAD JORDANS"
*After the shoot out, cops opens a crate with rage comics, dat bois, and minion memes. Rookie throws up*
"EVEN THE MINION MEMES!? THOSE SICK BASTARDS" *holding back his tears of anger*
I know kid, it never gets any easier
I'm back in the E.U.S.S.R
You don't know how lucky you are boy
Back in the E.U.S.S.R
This headline is absurd. The actual point is to monitor intellectual property on the internet (good luck with that). But would that actually end memes?
And you wonder why we chose to leave
lol. europe. good thing i dont live there
Oh really? And how exactly would you characterize and define a meme? Good luck being a prosecuting lawyer in this trial....
Pfft, good luck, your dreams will become a meme, counter intuitive
@Hanjurew, Like that world leader who didn't like being compared to Winnie the Pooh, then everyone started doing it.
