The England football team’s wives & girlfriends recently declared that they don’t want to be referred to by the acronym WAGS any more, because they a’re not defined by what their husbands/partners do’. Funny thing is, I couldn’t think of a single one who is known for anything but being the partner of a famous footballer.....

@Nellybert , Maybe that’s the point. That they aren’t known as anything else. Just like the Olympian woman who was described in headlines as “wife of a Bears lineman” instead of by the fact that she’s been in the Olympics twice. Besides, it doesn’t matter if they’re a janitor at a sewage treatment facility. Nobody wants their sole value to be based off of the accomplishment of being proximal to someone else more “noteworthy”.

@Berntley, The point is that none of the people involved had achieved anything - they weren’t athletes, authors, entrepreneurs etc. Literally the only time anyone would recognise their name is when it’s put in the context of being a WAG. That lady had genuine reason to be upset - she had achieved something we never will and deserved to be recognised for that. The lady complaining here hasn’t got the same claim.

@Berntley, I’m saying nothing of the sort. I’m saying that when the press write about people who are public figures simply because they’re dating someone famous, it’s not surprising that they reference the famous person. Would the press be writing about Megan Davison if she wasn’t dating England’s goalkeeper? I’m sure she’s a wonderful human being, but can you name a bigger achievement for them to reference her by?

Seriously. No one should care about the president’s wife. Bill hurt made a great point about this. She adds anything. His job is politics and he should get the attention and not have her intervening. Same if it was reversed. If she want president, no one should care about him. I also don’t like her because she’s just as phony as him and any other president. She lied about helping getting certain ingredients off food products and not being able to hide those ingredients with different names but she got bought out and basically told to shut up and everyone swept it under the rug because of the lefts phony white guilt. So much bad happened when he got in office and it’s all swept under the rug. And this is coming from a non affiliated black person.

@iKnowWhatYouThinkin, I’m in agreement with you there, friend. I feel that under his presidency that many people had their freedom of choice taken from them. The biggest ones being what you want to eat and drink and the whole affordable care fiasco. I have family members that had the health care they desired and after affordable care their rates went up %500. I tried looking for ‘affordable’ care myself and everything is too expensive. Not to mention if you don’t have health care you’re hit with a penalty in your tax refund unless you make below a certain amount. Add to the fact that companies, all companies, had to give full time employee’s complete coverage, then give more in minimum wage, and then had to pay more in taxes themselves made them cut peoples hours to be part time so they didn’t have to dish out more. He gets way too much praise for essentially screwing the American people.
I can't tell if This is a joke? You know who this guy is, right? He was part of the Choom Gang!
