Bodied? Tf does that mean? You could have said, “stuck” it’s almost half the length and I would also understand it. Maybe I’m just getting old lol
@Sven and Otar, I’ll try and teach you a lesson right now old man! Bodied is pretty much just getting fvcked up or destroyed, in this example it’s a level in a game. Pretty much the younger sibling needs to git gud
@Sven and Otar, no, I’m a teen and I’m with you on this
@Sven and Otar, no, for some reason people keep catering to dumb ghetto people and their terrible English skills. It’s not you.
@Sven and Otar, while I agree with you, stuck may just mean not knowing how to complete the part, while bodied here means getting wrecked or killed by something as @Good Ol Days said
@fvck me sideways, but using a more specific term for the actual thing when fewer people understand it isn’t how one communicates I suppose is my old man Johnson gripe.
Even if understanding it isn’t the issue, it’s still like saying you couldn’t come to work because your black jeep liberty 6-cylinder is in the shop vs my car is in the shop
@Sven and Otar, Game lingo changes very so often. You might be old already. Just like me. I had no idea what bodied meant. But at least you gave me an idea.
@Sven and Otar, in my experience, bodied generally refers to a pvp type game. For example in dota, being bodied means an enemy hero is following you to whatever lane you go to to make your life hell. Doesn’t really fit this usage imo
@Sven and Otar, have you never heard of getting bodied? It's not new for say, and basically just getting absolutely destroyed. You may also hear people say things like "dunked on" which is a basketball term but can also be used in a similar fashion when it comes to games. There are alot of sayings tbf and if you don't game online much or watch much you probably aren't goint to know or have heard of alot of them.
@Jipz, I play PUBG with friends, but thats about it. I’m definitely more of a singleplayer type gamer
@iKnowWhatYouThinkin, It's not ghetto, it's gaming speak.
@LivingAngryCheese, no. It’s actually not. I heard that phrase in the early 2000’s. It’s ghetto speak.
@iKnowWhatYouThinkin, lol so early 2000s was ghetto times?
@iKnowWhatYouThinkin, the first uses of the term bodied as slang (rather than meaning embodied or rather, having and belonging to a body) that I can find all trace back to the fighting game community around the late 90’s to early 2000’s before it crept into FPS like Halo and GoW.
@CosmoTheKramer, you’d be a great writer for Foxnews. You’re good at spinning and making up things to say that weren’t said. I hear buzzfeed is hiring...
@iKnowWhatYouThinkin, the hell is ghetto speak? Getting bodied grew fame in sports as well as gaming. Mostly from football when a large padded man literally throws his body and tackles another player. It just meant overwhelmed on the losing side
Being the younger sibling, I understand this partially, but I would usually carry on from stubborn pride and rage.
She won’t admit to it now, but when my sister was doing that asteroid bit in dead space she got stuck on it, and I did it first try for her
