I'm against Nike because they make running shoes. Fvck running.
It was never about the flag
I dont make purchases to support anyone but myself.
I sit, stand or kneel with Nike.
Idk Nike is probably going to come out better than ever because of the boycotting so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Siska the Khajiit, shjt. I burned my Nike's but I need good shoes still. I do like the look of those Nikes.... I'm gonna buy them.
@Siska the Khajiit, online sales spiked by 34% the day they aired the ad.
I don't understand why everyone is attempting to boycott Nike. Does it have to do with the Kapernick ad? I didnt really see anything offensive or wrong about it tbh
@Beggar Mugger, people dont like Kap, hence they no longer like Nike. In the ad they use the phrase "Believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything" which people get mad at because Kap hasnt sacrificed everything like soldiers who lost their lives have. Personally i dont care about the campaign, i just want people to stop continually bringing it up. I despise Kaepernick, not really for kneeling because its his right even if i do disagree with it. Which i do. I mostly just hate him because im a 49er fan and he was a trash QB
@StonedSloth69, I hate to start this but he isn’t kneeling to disrespect soldiers, he knees because of the treatment of black people by the police and them getting shot, that’s essentially it, but im don’t give a f*ck what Nike does let them be them, they still use child labor and pay their workers pennies so I never liked em, I honestly don’t own anything Nike never have never will this doesn’t change my opinion on them
@DrSin, i understand why he kneels and i respect him for fighting for what he believes in. I just am not a fan of how he chose to protest. I feel he could have found better avenues to protest than kneeling for the anthem. But hey i guess he got people talking so thats a positive for him. I, like many people associate the anthem with soldiers that lost their lives, so i will always stand to respect them. And i do recognize that those who have kneeled have no intentional interests in disrespecting the fallen. They have the right to protest and take a stand i just wish it didnt have to revolve around the anthem and start controversy. Even though nobody is meaning disrespect
@StonedSloth69, i wish he would kneel for the black on black crime which is the main reason why blacks die from violence. He does have the right but that doesn’t mean we have to like his misleading cause
@Texasson, agreed. I like how hes striving for positive change but i dont believe that there are that many racist pig cops out there. Dont get me wrong they are out there, but my perception is that racism is at its lowest point in history and is continually dropping. Some cops do make mistakes, but media makes sure to highlight any bad scenario to make you believe the world is awful and that everyones racist and is out to get you. News channels ruin the world
@StonedSloth69, he was a trash qb. Thank you. It needed to be said. I hate all the he’s better than any back up qb in the nfl, I don’t understand why no one will sign him. It’s cause he wants $20 mil a year to be a scrub and won’t take less to be a backup. I could be wrong but I thought he was offered a low contract and rejected. He also asked the miners to release him with years still left on his contract. I hate the oh he had 16 tds to 4 ints his last year. Well most of that was in garbage time when they were already down 20 points. The year y’all went to the Super Bowl, you had one of the best linebacker core in nfl history (Willis/Bowman was just nasty). Alex Smith was having his best 49er season. Jim harbaugh was a great coach. My point being the niners could’ve made it there with about any qb, like the bears did with grossman. And kap sucks. Anyway best of luck with jimmy g, get that man some weapons, he’ll be a beast.
@DrSin, Yeah context matters. Feel like today people can interpret completely different things that what is intended. Then when they are corrected they feel obligated to continue there mistaken first opinion. He is not disrespecting America. He is making a strong gesture in hopes to improve America. Plus soldiers would kneel during the anthem to respect fallen friends. Why all the hate at a person trying to make a difference?
@StonedSloth69, at least he had to pay back the conditional money in his contract. I’m a raider fan and am still haunted by the Jamarcus Russel and Darren McFadden deals
@DrSin, it seemed to me that he was kneeling because he got benched and was pouting, we’ve all seen it at every level, so I don’t think it’s too much a stretch to think he was doing it for reasons other than cultural inequality in America.
@Beggar Mugger, one he didnt give up everything they make it sound like he lost everything even though hes a millionair in the country that supposedly oppresses black people. It would be like if donald trump went on and on about how oppressed white people are.
@Fatpossum, eveeything you said is a 100% right. Let the Jimmy G era begin!!!
@StonedSloth69, will people stop saying it's his right? Because no it's not. No one has a right to protest at work, on private property, while being paid. 99% of everyone else would have been fired for doing what he did just because it was on company time but because its football they get special treatment.
And the reason people dont like Kaepernick is because his cause is hyper dramatic bs. Cops arent hunting unarmed black people in any sense. If he really cared hed be trying stop black on black violence which is the vast majority of black deaths.
@Oujosh29, but if the nfl let him then he can.
The whole situation is ridiculous. They only do the anthem with players on the field because the military paid them gobs of money for shows of patriotism. He really only started protesting because he was rapidly becoming irrelevant and needed attention and it snowballed out of control.
@nepheal, yeah that's their choice, but it isnt a right in any sense.
@DrSin, it’s funny because he focuses on cops vs black people.. yet he doesn’t touch on the crime rates black people causes.. the black on black crime (which is higher than any other “insert race here vs black), single black mother’s almost at 60%, black gang activity, black racism towards whites who did nothing, etc. I get there some cases of cops being bad to blacks, but I’ve seen and heard which FBI stats and have enough personal stories of black people causing more issues than cops towards them. Look it up. 2016 FBI stats: 16 Black men killed by cops. 147 policemen killed. Also, approx 1,870+ Black babies are aborted every day in America. Also, in NYC, black men make up 75% of all shooting yet represent only 23% of the population. Go ahead... I’ll wait. But apparently Kaepernick is brave and knows what’s up. Right? Priorities... 🙄
When will corporations learn its best to stay out of politics.
Everyone just concentrate on you. Do you and your world will get along fine 👍🏼
Is it weird that I actually want to go out and buy more Nike stuff?
@benderama, that’s exactly what they want you to do
@HolyCatchphrase, who is they?
