For the record I'm not protesting Nike I'm just broke.
@Bleached Buttonhole, then how did you afford to bleach your buttonhole hmm?
@The Token Black Guy, why do you think he is broke? Have you SEEN how lovely his bleached butthole is?
“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”
This belongs on a photo of Pat Tillman, who actually sacrificed everything for something he believed in.
O boy, here we go. Dude can protest how he wants, people bitching about “disrespect” just wanna make his point mute. I honestly didn’t know people were so die hard about the song and flag. I’ve yet to see a vet shun the guy, its all been super conservatives bitching about him
@Dexios S Divine, my issues with him aren't so much about the kneeling as they are about his misguided and ignorant reasons for the protests. I'm so tired of hearing about police killing unarmed black men without cause and whatnot. It's not the case and hasn't been for a long time. His ignorant claims of oppression, wearing socks with cops portrayed as pigs and support of actual oppressive and murderous dictators, while crying about oppression is what bothers me.
@SWAT the fireman, I have a problem with the the quote they use “Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything” but not getting into that. Nike did it to make money and didn’t care about anything else
@SWAT the fireman, I mean, I’ve seen vids of black dudes getting killed for basically nothing because the cop “feared for his life” Its not as big of a problem though, just another bloated thing for people to yell about to sound woke
@Dexios S Divine, they aren’t diehard about the flag. They’re diehard about not facing the really obvious issues in our country that don’t directly affect them.
@Dexios S Divine, I'll upvote to that. It obviously has happened, a cop killing an unarmed black man unjustifiably. But most of the high profile cases that these people protest about have been completely justified. There will be an occasional bad decision made by a cop, but some people seem to think every time a black man dies, it's the cops fault and all cops are racist. I have an issue with that and I have an issue with celebrities who use their celebrity to spread division and hate. As Rookie Mistake also pointed out, using his example for the "believe in something" quote is, uh, well I think most of us agree there.
@Dexios S Divine, I don’t think any reasonable person is denying that things like that end up happening, per se. It’s s problem that needs to be figured out, yes. The issue with his protesting is that he said his kneeling was to protest a country that oppresses black people as if we still live in reconstruction America or something.
@Dexios S Divine, I know many vets that have “shunned the guy” even some that got their money back for the NFL package last year. These kinds of people don’t get the attention the conservative bjtching gets but they are out there.
@Rookie Mistake, I have a problem with this guy thinking he deserves to be the NFL. He had 1 and 1/2 good years as a qb then his coach left and everyone figured out how to make him throw (and he is not NFL caliber). His production tanked and he ultimately owed the 9ers all the conditional money in his contract- about 2 mil.
@Dexios S Divine, you should check out mike the cop on youtube alot of those videos have explanations and he gives them there. The reality of the situation is often more compled than a 40 second facebook video might lead you to believe.
@SWAT the fireman, actrually many of the high profile cases are the ones that tend to be untrue in my oppinion. I lost the statistics a long time ago but it broke down the statistics of police killings of black people. How many we know were justified, how many we know they had a weapon, and how many happend under uncertain circumstances. Like i said i forgot the specific number but it was basically something like 10 cases a year where they couldnt determine if the cop had done anything wrong. Ill have to find it again.
@BlazingBowman, don’t use facebook, all this shït isn’t hubbed on facebook alone. Not really complicated to see a vid of a cop killing a guy thats doing nothing to warrent it. But again, this shït isn’t happening every time a cop pulls a black guy over, its just bloated and pointing fingers around when its black communities that are shït. Nothings getting fixed if the root of it all isn’t fixed
@Dexios S Divine, ok
@Dexios S Divine, count this vet at shunning him. He's a piece of crap! There now you know one...
@Dexios S Divine, as a veteran I definitely believe in his right to do it but he should also understand the consequences of his actions and stop acting like such a victim
@Dexios S Divine, I’m happy I get to be someone’s first then. Many vets are unhappy about it. News ain’t gonna put them on and public figures gotta walk that line of acceptance. It’s not super conservatives either. Unless you think half the country is super conservative.
I was confused when this all started because kneeling is a way to show respect in some countries.
@Mr Literal, it’s also the best position to suck dick in.
Not speaking from experience or anything heh....Just saying.
My problem with Nike is the children they use to make their products. But a lot of companies do, and I am nor very good at boycotting, so I just move along.
@NSA is watching you, I dont think that's been a thing since the early 2000s
If you're more upset about an ad campaign than you are about police shooting and killing unarmed people, please explain why.
@The 911 Masturbator, because it is an issue that has already been widely eradicated. Sure, there are still unarmed black men being killed by white cops, but the statistics show that a cop is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black guy. So, while I get that police brutality is a problem, I don't think it is the main issue here anymore.
@i am sand , where did you get that fake statistic? Facebook? Faux News? Every time I login to YouTube there's a slew of new videos of police misconduct. And last I checked FBI statistics, police officers deaths were significantly down since the 80s and 90s.
It's despicable and ignorant of you to consider an ad from a shoe company to be more offensive than crimes and murders committed by the very people who are supposed to stop or do something about crimes and murders. Think for yourself. Don't be a statist.
@The 911 Masturbator, not a fan of the hostility, since I kept it civil, but I guess that's my fault for believing in a tolerant left.
I did not get that statistic from "faux" news, I heard it at a speech given by YAF, but now that I told you that you're going to call me mindless again, because i don't allow my feelings to govern my politics. As for you logging into YouTube and seeing misconduct, maybe you should unsubscribe from CNN and BuzzFeed. Also, I challenge you to find any point in time that I "despicably and ignorantly" considered an ad to be more offensive than crimes and murders. I never even said I'm offended, because I'm not. Being offended is a strictly leftist ideology, and I find it odd that you are going to claim that somebody you think views only Facebook and "Faux News" (neither of which do I actually view, which you would know if you bothered to ask before going on your empowered rant) would subscribe to that, considering you consider conservatives evil.
@The 911 Masturbator, Kaepernick IS A CRIMINAL! So you are saying a criminal is better than our vets and cops? Piss off!
@Craiger, what crime has he committed?
@i am sand , you assume I'm left just because I'm not some boot licking, flag waving cop apologist? BWAHAHA. Also, I don't subsribe to CNN or buzzfeed. Most people uploading the atroicious videoes are just regular people like me and you. Sorry but you wasted your time with that YAF speech. You heard some bs and didn't bother to check and see if it was true for yourself. Why?
@The 911 Masturbator, interesting theory that you say I didn't bother to check my facts when I provided an actual stat and you didn't..
Anyway, yes I do assume that you are left, because you, in all of your commenting, have yet to show a right leaning viewpoint. I don't care what you think you are, your innate tendency to resort to personal attacks and the way you absolutely refuse facts reveal you as a leftist. Also, though you didn't care enough to ask, I'm not the "boot licking cop apologist" (I am a flag waver, I am proud of this country and what it stands for and you can't make me stop) that you think I am. If you can find an actual individual instance of police brutality, not the straw man of "his hands were up" when actual body cam footage disproves it, I am more than happy to stand with you against it. It's interesting that you would rather alienate people who don't agree with you than have those allies.. makes me wonder why republicans have the white house, Senate, and H.O.R.
@i am sand , I suppose if you did, we wouldn't be having this conversation, so...
@The 911 Masturbator, but it's hardly a conversation, is it? It's more of you trying to insult me into silence, and then not knowing how to respond when you can't. Weird how that works, isn't it? I come with facts I've heard (and, yes, confirmed) from speeches that I went and saw, and you sit back with your apparent right leaning ideas of widespread police brutality, and then when we inevitably clash all that you have for a rebuttal is "oh you didn't research that" and "did you get that from Faux News " and, of course, the trademark lefti- sorry, I mean right leaning name calling. If you have an actual argument, let's have a civil discourse. Otherwise, we could continue doing this, I find it rather funny to see you flounder in your own identity politics
@i am sand , hahahah they aren't confirmed because they appeal to your prejudices. In fact, the opposite is true for most of what you said. I'm not here to be civil anyway, especially not with statist fvcktards.
@i am sand , here you go, captain dipshti. The facts don't lie, but you do.
@The 911 Masturbator, wait, you provided an actual link to a website.. do I get to call you a statist fvcktard now?
Beside that, what evidence are you trying to present here? That the number of officer deaths has increased from 1791 to 2017? Yeah, you got me, police are being killed.

What did Nike do? What did I miss?
South Park did it first. Stan Ground
For the record Nike sucks anyway and who even cares who's on a commercial? IT'S A COMMERCIAL.
@TheButterCutter, I don't know, the most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned were Nikes... Also, why are people protesting Nike?
@Doctor Krieger, bc Mr take a knee was on a commercial for them
@TheButterCutter, yeah, I just Googled it. It's cringey and stupid.
I dont care
Plus all the free publicity.
