Yup those candy are not cheap. Might as well give each kid a $20 bill.
@datpixel, either you’re getting dumb strong edibles or you’re being over charged my guy
@The Gay Gatsby, or weed isn't legal there yet
@DividedAlliance, irrelevant, dispensary edibles are more expensive than ones you’d buy from a dealer anyway
@The Gay Gatsby, sounds about right for Canadian dispensary prices though
@haarknir, that’s what I’m saying, dispensaries are great for ease of access but their prices are outrageous depending on where you are. If you’re paying $20 an edible, you’re overpaying. That’s my point
@The Gay Gatsby, the downside of legalization 🤷♂️
@haarknir, that's just capitalism. They have next to no competition at the moment.
@WelI Obviously, not really convinced its *just* capitalism. Part of it has got to be the regulatory factors. It's kinda like why Canada has significantly higher prices on certain staple items vs. the US. But I'm no expert so maybe you're right.
@haarknir, so living in Massachusetts, marijuana is legal but stores still cant sell it yet. Its complicated. Anyways the prices at dispensaries are based around the street price which is irrelevant to the cost to produce. At a dispensary you cant still expect to pay 35 for an 1/8 with special deals only going about as low as 25 per 1/8. But once stores can open and sell to anyone of age instead of just those with medical cards, the price will drop naturally. As of right now I buy ounces for around 150 from a friend, so it's not worth it for me to go to a dispensary yet and the same goes for a lot of people.
@datpixel, what just give them money? Do you knkw what that kids gunna do with money?? Hes going to go buy drugs
@I Am Captain Obvious, thats average street price there? Damn im in texas id expect my prices to be better hahahah. Im paying 100 for a 1/4 right now but i just met the guy so im talking it down still
@Guy Fawkes, yeah that's seriously overpaying. For a quarter I would only have to pay $40. You're paying more than twice as much as me, I'm sure you can find cheaper stuff that's just as good
@I Am Captain Obvious, its been pretty steady. I lived out in west texas and the best deal i got was a 1/2 for 125. But that was hard to find too. Everyone else was tryi g to charge at least 300 for an ounce. Most of my local dealers were just low dealers probably reuped on like 1 to 3 ounces at most so they never had low prices
@Guy Fawkes, wow I feel bad then, its so popular here though I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I know more people who smoke than who drink
@I Am Captain Obvious, yeah. Ive noticed that a lot of it is coming from Colorado though and ive only ever heard it was from California a couple of times. Which again goes agaist what id expect
@Guy Fawkes, everything here I get is local. It makes it a lot cheaper when you're buying straight from a grower. And they're usually really good guys selling on the side of their legal crop
@datpixel, I gotta chime in here. Weed is legal here (Washington State, TONS of weed shops where I live), and I buy this pack of individual candies (usually mints), I get 20 candies for about $25. I have a low tolerance, so one candy is plenty for me to have a good night. So... Yeah, a dollar per candy, I'd say that's pretty cheap.
I mean it would be expensive, and I’m not saying I think it happens, but I wouldn’t put it past people to spend lots of money trying to mess with kids. I know some tools who force fed their dog alcohol to see what he was like drunk, so I don’t doubt people’s willing to be stupid, even if it is expensive
This PSA funded by Anheiser Bush. (I can't remember how to spell that)
@ThePandaPool , Anhauser Busch I believe.
I hate sharing my edibles with my boyfriend let alone a complete stranger!!
I feel like the caption should be after the news article
Yeah there were anti-cannabis propaganda ads like these 2 years ago and even the flag waivers, boot lickers, 911 official story believers and bible thumpers knew it was bullshjt
