Aminal Fack of the day: Cats can not sense sweet flavors through either taste nor smell. humans can taste sweet, sour, savory, salty, and bitter flavors because they have five different kinds of taste buds. cats on the other hand have all but sweet taste buds. Their most common favorite flavor is savory, but most like salty too.
@aminalFacks, fun fact no. 2: Cats can taste the molecule atp which is present in live meat but quickly decays after the animal dies. Using the ability the can check whether the meat they're eatig is fresh or not.
@The Flame War, that's certainly fascinating, but it raises the question, why does my cat like raw chicken so damn much. I always knew she was a little messed up.
