"Good God, Almighty. Good God, Almighty; that killed him. As God as my witness, he is broken in half!" - Good old Jim Ross.
Besides my mom introducing me to this great passtime when I was young. This is one of the reasons I always find comfort in pro wrestling. The matches may be predetermined, and the punches may be pulled. But the sheer punishment that these individuals can and have put themselves through for our entertainment has kept me and my mom watching at least every Monday night. I may have moved out from my parents house a couple years ago, but getting a text from my mom after a great match always puts a smile on my face.
@Ghosteater95, same situation with me and my brother. We loved it when we were younger and then got older and moved on but a few years back we started watching again and its awesome. We always do something big for the big ppvs
@Ghosteater95, I still remember seeing this match on PPV when mankind went though the cell and hit the canvas. Jerry Lawler stated "That's it he's dead" as if he believed it because he believed it. Gave you goosebumps until Mick moved.
That punishment was real and the reaction from everyone watching was real.
We Gods bow to these titans.
@Ghosteater95, I've been watching wrestling for as long as I can remember. I was born 9 days after Undertaker debuted at Survivor Series in 1990 and have always felt a link to him. My entire family watches it weekly and we still do. We used to just watch WWE, but eventually me and my brother got into other promotions. Say what you want about it being predetermined, and sometimes it can be bad, but when it's great, it's fvcking perfect. Nothing has made me cry or get involved more than wrestling. I'll watch it forever.
The amount of injuries my brothers and I caused to each other because of Batista, Rey mystirio, the hardy bros, and my boy John cena is immeasurable
@I Am Captain Obvious, i know that feel. So many Swanton Bombs off the treadmill and onto the couch for the pin. It hurt but damn was it fun.
@I Am Captain Obvious, My injuries are immeasurable, and my bones are ruined
Mankind was the only reason I watched wrestling when I was younger. The guy just did it because he loved it.
I've posted this before, but one time in my grade school music class, these two kids got into a fight, and one hit the other with a folding chair. The kid that got hit was screaming about how he'd kill the other kids family...the fvcking FBI came next week and interviewed each of us
ITS BARRY FRIENDLY! HES ENTERED THE RING
I was there.
