@The Gay Gatsby, well it's the CrossFit games so it's an all around thing. The dudes competing aren't exactly "fast", they're just fast for the amount of beef they've packed on.

@The Gay Gatsby, The cameraman only ran with them for the last stretch of the race. This portion dealt with suicides if I recall correctly, hence the people in the back being so far behind. The cameraman can keep up because the competitors are already worn out

@Not him again, this is the CrossFit games... they are all 5’8” ish. They are all people who aren’t athletic enough to do sports but are really good at exercising.

Yes, this camera man is very fast. And the fact that he’s carrying a camera makes this even more incredible. And the fact that he’s able to maintain a steady shot (which, even with the stabilizing equipment he’s using, is still pretty difficult). BUT, if you look at the shot, he clearly starts in front of the runners, and ends the shot behind most of them. So he’s not QUITE as fast as he appears

@MrTsquared, it’s actually a device that the camera sits in so it doesn’t wobble.

@RiffRaff, right but it’s still not easy to get a steady shot with. It stops the camera from shaking, but it doesn’t keep the camera pointed at a subject while both you and the subject are moving, and it doesn’t keep the camera at a consistent height as you run across the field to create this near-perfect dolly effect
