Like the every other developed nation in the world... Just saying America, you're the only ones clinging to Imperial.
@Duncan5769, nuh uh! Liberia. So basically yes, you’re right.
@Duncan5769, as an American, I hate it too
@Duncan5769, I’ve actually talked to and seen many online threads from Europeans that favor Fahrenheit over Celsius for temperatures in everyday life. As for all the other measurements, meters, liters, and grams clearly win and there’s no sane argument for Imperial, but temperature might be the one thing we do right since it fits a temperature range of normal life better. Plus Celsius is often converted into Kelvin anyway for science so it’s not like it would create a new inconvenience in that regard.
@farkleberry dumbbell, well, Liberia was founded by freed American slaves, so it only makes sense that they still stick to the same measurement as the motherland.
@Duncan5769, yeah but if you work on cars, everything is metric, even if it's an "American" vehicle.
But if you work on homes, everything is standard.
The amount of almost redundant sockets and tools that I have is obnoxious. Literally probably a half million dollars worth between my father and I. And that's just regular ass tools, not including the expensive things.
@Duncan5769, we went to the moon so suck it
@Richard Cypher, ...using metric
You mean anywhere else but the US?
Yeah you can tell she’s an ice queen.
America is just a little behind on the metric system, it’s okay.
