Looks to be a usps van and gas caps can be switched around so my bet is unleaded.
@Ferrari Fireball, that was my first thought as well.. but then stickers can just be bought (or stolen) and stuck on unsuspecting vans..
@Ferrari Fireball, diesel nozzles are bigger and so are the caps that seal the gas tank. Wouldn't be able to fit one on a unleaded gas tank
*shjts in tank*
Me: *chooses literally anything*
Universe: “He chose, poorly”
Or you can have a look at the engine bay. If it’s missing an ignition system, then it’s a diesel.
Can 100% confirm it's a private ambulance company (amr) sh!t like this happens all the time lol
A diesel nozzle has a larger circumference than an unleaded nozzle. Therefore, you can use unleaded nozzle in a diesel tank but not vice versa.
@guy212183, false, I’ve known several women that have filled their gas cars with diesel and ruined their engines.
Definitely not true
@guy212183, sniff it.
@punsnipermark6, semi tractor tanks are huge, and diesel specific pumps are bigger to fill them faster. Not true of non commercial diesel vehicles tho
@faptcha, exactly, so if you drive up to a regular gas station, the diesel pumps are still regular size.
@faptcha, this guy gets it
@faptcha, yes, so at truck stops, maybe the nozzles are bigger. But at regular gas stations, they’re all the same size.
@BeauTheServiceDog, In New Zealand diesel pumps are bigger than petrol ones. You can still fit it some petrol vehicles though
@Bobaganusche88, that shouldn’t ruin the engine, I’ve had many cars come through with diesel in place of petrol and you just completely dry out the tank, drain as much diesel out of the lines as you can. Fill it with petrol, take that sucker outside and crank it for a while. It’ll be hella smoky but all the ones I’ve seen have recovered without needing to replace anything
@BeauTheServiceDog, not in the UK they are not
@guy212183, one of my friends went to a pump with cool handles and it was different colored and thought it was neat when he was filling up his car... it was a diesel pump and his car was gas... im never going to stop razzing him for it
Easy, look under the hood and see if it's a diesel engine or not???
(PS yes I work on cars but I don't see what that has to do with this)
