I know someone who's uncle was a scout sniper in Vietnam that kept their rifle. Kinda super illegal to do, but still really cool.

@CrazyManInaBox, Probably. Before 1986 you could register a machine gun in the US. And right after the war they were literally giving those things away to foreign countries, so I doubt they cared a whole lot if someone took theirs home.
