Bold move to wear a fat guy costume two days in a row
I saw a huge guy at the gym. I know he doesn’t want to be there because he takes his emotional support dog—I assume he’s uncomfortable being new to the gym and exposed in public.
I’m happy for him and proud that he’s there, even if I can’t pet his dog. If we make eye contact, I smile and nod. Otherwise, I just leave him alone and go about my workout.
For all you new gym people, I’m sorry if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable. Do what you know, keep researching form and new techniques, and ignore any rude gym people. We should all just be trying to better our health.
@PBnJ, yes!!! This is so true. I’ve been going to the gym for a few years now, so I’m in pretty good shape. But I used to have massive insecurities because I was a scrawny kid and people really dogged me for that. I’m much more comfortable in my skin now but it’s truly awful when people at the gym judge you because you’re not in the ideal shape. The point of the place is to help you get there!! Anyone who’s made it to the gym is already making serious progress.
Yeah im not sure why its embarrassing. Like youre taking a step to becoming healthier or getting skinnier or whatever and thats awesome. Its something to be proud of.
@Captain Doobie, It's because some people who go to the gym believe that fat people shouldn't go which is intirely idiotic. And people stare which tends to be unnerving.
@Ashoka02Tano, its like how people at church dont want drug addicts or prostitutes there cause church is no place for sinners.......sarcasm if you cant tell
And then takes pictures of himself with his friend in them to post on the internet...
@antgoo, he's got a heart of gold but only two functioning neurons
"I don't want any unwanted attention at the gym" - dude in a bright orange shirt
@AussiePatrick, it’s hard finding a shirt when you are shaped like that bruh! Trust me, I use to be 325 and shopping was a chore! I get that both of us let ourselves get like that and blah blah. But he’s obviously trying to better himself and I lost 100lbs as well. Shopping now is still hard because I have some loose skin and still really broad shoulders
@celtics313131, he's got a black shirt in the first photo?
@AussiePatrick, So he should just keep wearing the same shirt that he’s sweating in over and over again? Or he should just own a bunch of black T-shirt’s? This is just a really odd manifestation of contrarianism.
@Berntley, Mate, you are either taking the piss or your actually as dense as a ton of bricks. Either way I'm not explaining it further
@AussiePatrick, I was actually thinking the same about your comments.
@celtics313131, I realized I skimmed past your accomplishment without giving you the commendation you deserve. Losing 100lbs is a hell of an accomplishment, so good for you. Keep up the good work!
