To anyone struggling to lose weight, don’t lose hope! I tried for a long time and it was only till i learned this that it started to work for me, there’s a great TED talk on what calories actually are and how we burn them. Any diet that just says “cut this out”, or “eat as much of this as you want” has big potential to fail. What finally worked for me was tracking my calories and not eating more than 1880 a day (that number will be different for everyone, MyFitnessPal is a great tool to use). The fact that I could eat whatever I wanted as long as I didn’t exceed the calorie limit helped me not give up at first like I have with other diets, and I slowly learned that making healthier choices kept me fuller through the day. Don’t get caught up with quick results, gradual weight loss is more likely to be long lasting. It’s never too late to change yourself for the better!
@tampon theif, this is true, I quick tip to help out if you wanna work out don’t go for getting big weight or doing the maximum, being able to just burn is better than maximum weight lifting, I’m a dude who can bench around 250, but I stopped doing so, I normally bench 140-150 just to keep me going, don’t strive to be the best some where just do something that helps you get a sweat going, also sugar is extremely bad for losing weigh remember that, try to avoid a lot of sugar but if you do want it try to have it in the morning , not a ton of sugar after lunch fats and veggies after lunch and it will keep you losing, takes time

I was talking to a friend about this a few days ago, and he kept telling me that fat is the only thing with calories... Didn't realize how dumb my friend was until that conversation

@Amethyst Sky, I know someone that says as long as the food is raw, you can eat as much as you like and never put on weight.
He also thinks fruit juice will cure cancer.

I started keeping track of how many steps I take a day, and it turns out I burn alot more calories than I originally assumed.
@R04D SP1K3, i went on a fat and protein binge and did nothing but play games and sleep for a couple months besides school, I gained literally nothing. I stayed the same weight for that entire period and I went to a few clinics before I accepted that its just my metabolism and that im not infected with a black hole for a stomach
@Dexios S Divine, yeah same. In college I was eating 6-7k calories a day and lifting very heavily. I'm 6'2 and only made it to about 165
@FullMetalAlcoholist, i still eat way past the normal calorie intake, i go up and down between 100-110. I have a mutation or something because thats not fücken normal at all
