Because SOMEONE keeps putting sh!t in the fridge that doesn't fit and stops the door closing properly.
@AussiePatrick, heckin Karen!!
@AussiePatrick, it pings my phone constantly about the door being left open to long and when things are about to expire
@KittyVonClaude, oh hey, your the lady with the smart fridge! I liked your upload. It was pretty smart.
@AussiePatrick, thanks. My various pickles and liquid got quite the remarks. Life with kids-capri suns, pickles, and cheese its.
@KittyVonClaude, *insert joke here about pickles and liquid*
Having just a sensor that sends a signal is more affordable and easier to work with rather than implementing a motor for the door if it detected it was not closed.
@Estebonbon21, my fridge beeps then closes the door by itself. Its also like 5 years old. Your move Samsung
@Estebonbon21, definitely cost driven. I agree. Plus the auto-closing feature is overkill in my opinion.
@Estebonbon21, As someone who has been in many hotels, all of which have rooms with self closing doors, just put that shjt on a fridge
@Estebonbon21, idk how but my fridge door is weighted in a way that it closes on its own. No motor or anything just gravity. Now that I think about it maybe the ground is sloped slightly idk?...
Because it would be a pain to have the door keep trying to close on you while you are trying to rearrange in there or clean it out.
I remember when blah blah blah retoast used to be automatic top comment on something like this
@King Adulyadej, ahhh the good old days. People's tastes for retoasts seems to have changes.
Because if technology does everything for us we end up like the people in Wall-E
It may have to do with a refrigerator act of the 50s? Kids hiding in fridges with doors that would latch shut ended up dying? so the act made laws for fridge doors....? I read that somewhere. Can not confirm. haha
