As an American I literally have no grasp on what exactly Brexit is at this point, I kind of understood it at the beginning, but now it just sounds like an entire country screaming at itself
@open name, mate I’m English and I literally have no grasp on what Brexit is at this point either.
@GorgeousGeorge , you lost me at mate
@GorgeousGeorge , at first it seemed like "Oh we want independence from the cluster that is the EU" and I was like oh cool good for them hope they do good! And now... Now I just see your parliament yelling at themselves about how to or not to leave the EU with or without still doing whatever the EU wants and I'm so lost and I'm sorry your politicians are as bad as ours
@GorgeousGeorge , how do you handle that? It seems like England is just falling apart these last few years.
@Medic135, the main problem is that the bitch taking us out of Europe, was a remainer, so I don’t think she really wants it to happen. I honestly believe she wants to fück it up bad enough that there has to be another referendum.
My opinion, reunite Ireland and get the fück out any way possible.
@open name, Basically the UK is wanting to split away from the European Union. They feel that the current agreements and policies can be done better if they had more autonomy in deciding them. Well...the EU doesn't take kindly to a major player leaving their ranks so they aren't wanting to play with the EU at all.
Well Britain didn't expect the EU to say, "well fvck you then no agreements between our countries" and now the country is panicking about losing money and industry due to most people wanting to stick with the already established EU policies.
@I Are Lebo, oh it’s an absolute joke, it’s been going on for so long I’m just sick and tired of it, I just want move on! The news is ‘Brexit’ 24/7!
@GorgeousGeorge , it’s not just brexit, the fight against free speech there is terrifying to me.
@I Are Lebo, there’s a fight against free speech? This is the first I’m hearing of it and I stay pretty up to date with the news? The main topics at the moment is brexit and knife crime
@open name, watch CPG grays quick break down video on it.
@open name, imagine Texas wanted to go alone because, in it's eyes, the other 49 states we're bossing it around and Texas remembers being awesome years ago and it don't need no union
@GorgeousGeorge , I don’t know the regions in the UK to know any actual communities, but you didn’t hear about Kate Scottow? According to multiple sources including police reports and news outlets, something like 3,000 people were arrested in the UK last year for things they’d tweeted. ‘Malicious communications’, which is really another way of saying “being mean online”.
I’m Canadian, and while I admit that C-16 hasn’t gone the way I expected (thankfully), Canada isn’t that far behind the UK when it comes to the hate speech versus free speech culture battle.
I am of the opinion that there is no difference. Hateful speech falls under the category of reasonable limitation on free speech. In my view, the only reasonable limits on free speech can be to restrict incitement to violence or other illegal action, provable defamation, and fraud. I find that throughout history we have seen that anything more leads very quickly into tyranny.
In other news every cvnt who made money and didn’t want to pay tax, yet hold a moral high ground over you.
Didn't Dyson move their headquarters to the continent, even though Dyson himself was pro-brexit?
@Nellybert , oh, well that's ok then 🤷♂️
@Fac3pa1m, I think I may have been going for somewhere around sarcasm, on the grounds that while you’re technically wrong you’re basically right that he’s relocating his tax base to save his already-rich arse more money.
@Nellybert , don't worry, the sarcasm came through, although it seems mine may not have :/
@Fac3pa1m, I kinda guessed (the emoji helped) but, to be honest, I’ve had one of those days which leaves you feeling like your brain has melted & started dripping out your ears. I’m not sure I’m capable of the mental acuity required to do anything more than take everything literally right now.
@Empshok, ya know.. “lady news”
@Empshok, Brit news paper called the Daily mail... the female column is called Fe mail.....Yes ok after 3 let’s roll our eyes 👀
Wow it’s almost like the big backers of brexit aren’t actually loyal to the country or something
Top 10 betrayals in anime
Not his fault teressa may betrayed her country.
This dude is one of the biggest tvats in existance. A truely awful man. He owns one of the largest petrochemical plants in the UK, up in scotland. When he took over he tried to stamp his authority by forcing a wage cut to employees by threatening to fire thousands of people. Had he done that it would have devistated the entire local area as that plant is the main source of jobs. The kicker is that the plant as much as he said it wasnt... was super profitable but he sold the plants produce at a loss... to get this, his other company based in switzerland.
This guy only wants brexit as he sees an opportunity to change EU laws that protect workers and make himself more money.
@bonja, additonal info; One of the ways he attacked his workers was by claiming he owed 200m to them which he needed to cut to make the comapany profitable, however that 200m was pensions, and it was not a debt that had to be paid it was only to be paid as and when those workers retired over the next few decades... it sure sounds like a lot of money but in terms of the money made at that plant it was nothing.
Also at the time of the whole dispute the offical uk governments line was that it was a "dispute between the owner and the workers" and they shouldnt get involved... despite the fact that literally if it closed it would devisate scotland as a whole and tens of thousanda of their citizens..
He didn't just brexit, he rich quit!
Thats a lot of taxes!
Uk: The truth is, the game was rigged from the start.
