"Sheds man tear" tis beautiful
I literally watched matrix a few hours ago. So goooood
@A pet named Steve, If you enjoy the matrix you will never awaken and escape it.
@A pet named Steve, I watched the trilogy a few months ago. At the time I was questioning my own reality. Thoughts that run through my head like, what is true reality? Do I really want to experience it? Would I want to come back like Cypher did? If I had the choice of leaving this one and leaving everyone here behind would I take it? Would anyone really miss me? Or is everyone and everything just fragments of my imagination? How does the multiverse come into play? Does the universe exist because it merely does or does it only exist because we are here to experience it? Etc. I know the last two don’t really have much to do with the Matrix but those are some of the other questions that run through my head
@iAMtheLegueOfShadows, the answer is choice. You must choose to believe whether or not your world is real or not.
As for me, I choose to believe that each and every one of us is here for a purpose. I believe that the veracity of this world is irrelevant; what matters is what we do with what we've been given. That means knowledge, talents, weaknesses, disabilities, desires, etc.
I choose to believe that there exists absolute truth, but each of us starts out with different perceptions of it. So much so, sometimes, we may disagree significantly on what we see. But this does not change truth. "My truth" is a delusional statement; even "my interpretation of the truth" is an innacurate statement. Any time somebody speaks to you, you are interpreting the attempted articulation of a person's perception of the truth--or, more accurately, what they want you to believe that their perception is. Complicated as hell, isn't it? (Ctnd)...
@iAMtheLegueOfShadows, we generally make assumptions to simplify communication, such as:
You are presenting your perspective such that I will understand you.
What I heard is what you said.
What you said is your interpretation of the truth (and not a deception intended to alter how I perceive you).
There are others but whatever. The idea is to figure out which assumptions promote communication and which interfere. Same goes for life in general.
@iAMtheLegueOfShadows, if we really exist inside a matrix, at least we would have a purpose, be it nourishing sentient machines or the entertainment of an alien race or whatnot. It'd be a cruel, petty reason to exist, but it'd be a reason. Because in my opinion, the existence of everything is ultimately without any meaning or purpose. What would be more of my concern is whether I would like to live in a world with such a futile purpose, or no purpose at all. Honestly, I really don't know...
@iAMtheLegueOfShadows, I spend a lot of time thinking about all the things you said. So far it's only been hurting my brain and I get more and more confused the more I think about it.
@A pet named Steve, I’m just here for a good time.
Keanu Reeves has lived a tough life but his demeanor through it all is why people love him so much.
