@Orphan Eater, The things you see when you're eyes are like that are referred to as "Floaters". They are dead skin within your eye that float around in your optic fluid and become visible in the light.

@A doctor, Actually, this is different to what you are referring to. These weird colours you see are your eyes responding to pressure. Proteins are involved.

OMG I'm happy it's not just me. And I have a question. So if I either concentrate really hard with my eyes closed or do something with my ears, it sounds like an earthquake. Me and my dad can do it. Anybody else?

The photons emitted from the eye (infrared) have more total energy than the photons entering the eye from the outside world (visible light), however each individual infrared photon has too little energy to cause isomerization. isomerization is a matter of nudging a chemical from one structural form to another, without actually changing the chemical formula.

False, your eyelids are a slightly different thickness at any given point, therefore allowing different wavelengths of small amounts of light to pass through them, thus why when you put your hands over your eyes after closing them you can see less color.

It's actually your eyelids pressing against your eye and irritating your retina. Since you have cones and rods.that allow you to see color and light/dark, it appears though you are in space

You will never be able to see atone because a light wave wavelength is longer than the length of the most massive atoms and molecules, so you won't ever be able too see them however there is a way to locate an atom in a crystal structure
