@Jesus Chrysler, in addition, if you show up late to a 15 minute check up, they will often skip your appointment. However, they can’t skip a 1 hour physical because that is a lot of time blocked off. TLDR: doctors are late because patients ask stupid questions and come late to 1 hour appointments.

@Jesus Chrysler, don’t forget the prodigious amount of box ticking paperwork necessary to get 15%-60% of what is billed, after the billing is initially refused

@Jesus Chrysler, then you have the "retired" women who didnt get the time slot they wanted so they just arrive an hour or more early thinking they will be seen early. Then they get mad that people who came in after them get called first. Working at an OBGYN is funnnn, may the hormones never be in your favor.

@Jesus Chrysler, I dont want to argue, I actually agree with you for the most part. But lets say you live a couple of hours away from a specific doctor you need to see. This doctor practices in a very busy, bustling city. You are driving 2 hours just to get stopped up in traffic for about half an hour. You arrive 5 minutes late and get turned away, just to do another 2 hours worth of driving home. I dont think necessarily they were wrong, cause if I am late, I am late. But.... I just spent so much money on gas and tolls just to get there in the first place.. (Idk why i wrote it as "you" This happened to me lol)

Canada same with employers right they can keep you waiting for an interview but if you're 5 or 10 minutes late they can cancel

there's a simple reason for this. your not spiecal, and they have other people to attend to. it's not the receptionists fault nor the doctor who is ensuring another patient's health

I think we’ve been over this. If you show up 15 minutes late, it throws off the entire schedule. My dad has to deal with this shït all the time and sometimes comes home an hour late. People show up on time for their appointments but then say “oh doc, one more thing!” That is what takes extends wait times.
