@TheSecretSavage, Besides Cars, which Disney sort of expects from Pixar for the toy sales, when do they do cash grabs? TS4 has gotten nothing but great reviews, and I’m so excited to catch it tonight. Sorry, but as a person who enjoys writing, I get a little defensive when other people think another’s idea is spent out and shouldn’t be continued. A good writer can do anything, and it looks like Pixar’s team has.

@TheSecretSavage, unpopular opinion but honestly wish they would’ve stopped with 2. 3 was fine, but it felt pretty open and shut for 11 years before they decided hey it’s not actually over. All toy stories after 2 will forever feel like sequel series rather than a continuation of the main storyline as a result. Just like finding dory.

@TheSecretSavage, I feel that way about a lot of things, but I don't with toy story 4 here's why. About a year and a half after toy story three came out, the first article I ever read about toy story 4 want an announcement or teaser image or coy tweet or anything like that. Those are typically used to build up hype for upcoming releases. Instead the article described a slow day in the writing room at Pixar, when one person opened up about an idea they had about toy story 4. As a company Disney had declared the series ended at this point but the article literally said "the parties involved felt that the concept was promising and inspired enough to justify another movie." And im perfectly okay with that if that's the case. Makes as many star wars, Harry Potter, or superhero movies as you want. As long as they're inspired and have creative merit I will respect them.
Honestly wish they wouldve stopped with 3. It ended perfectly. I feel like 4 is a cash grab. Which sucks because it's one of the best movie series ever. But hey, Disney obviously isn't afraid to desecrate amazing movie series in the name of money. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
