makes me remember how my mother used to teach me how to destroy my enemies and decorate their homes with their guts ☺️
Okay, that’s actually pretty cute
@Shzeah, yo, your avatar is Hel from Smite. I like you.
Screw Barbarians, screw Paladins, Rangers have always sucked unless your dm gives you modifiers. No man if you want to kill all living things with a melee weapon you go Fighter. Doesnt matter what kind of Fighter. Eldrich Knight, Champion, Battle Master etc etc it dont matter. You just destroy everything. And if you really want to ruin your dm, using the point buy system (the only system worth a damn) pick a human fighter. At level 6 you can have 3 skills with 16, 2 with 11, and one with 12 making you basically a medieval batman. At level 6! Its retarded! Plus if you pick the soilder background, and ask your dm to switch out the soilders intimidation skill/proficiency for something else you get a grand total of 4 skills of your choosing. Me, i switched intimidation for perception. Now my dude is walking around with a 14 passive perception, as a fighter! Broken class my friends.
@LaDarkProphet, every class has things they're good at in specific level ranges. At level 6 though, barbarians and paladins are just better in survival and damage.
@vampirefork, I disagree. A fighter in heavy armor, especially with a sheild, will be harder to kill then a barbarian on the account of being harder to hit. And Paladins i would argue is at the least on par with the fighter. That one could go either way. You have smite for Paladins and the ability to attack a stupid number of times as a fighter so it evens out, imho. As for rp, i would say fighter is kinda bland. But mechanics wise its one of the best classes. Imho.
Whats your favorite class? Mine would be Artificer.
@LaDarkProphet, I guess it's more preference as I'd rather have resistance and high health over high AC but my DM likes using stronger monsters
@vampirefork, Well depending on your race and background you can have various resistances, Teiflings having fire resistance for example. And your gear can be enchanted etc. A barbarian is limited by what they can wear and wield while Fighters and Paladins are not. From a gameplay perspective Fighters and Paladins are more flexible in their playstyle. You can use as strong of a monster as you like but if you cant actually physically hit something then it doesnt have to take damage which means your Clerics and Paladins can deal damage instead of wasting spell slots constantly healing.
For me, both as a dm and player, enemies that you cannot hit, either because of ac or mobility, are far more dangerous then the big monster whos easy to hit but has a high health pool. But thats just my experience. And you never said what your favorite class was ^-^
@LaDarkProphet, don't really have a favorite. Haven't gotten through trying every class and just started a new campaign as a Barb and enjoying it at our current low level. But what I was getting at with the big monsters is that they'd easily surpass my fighter's when I was playing him so I was getting hit regardless.
@vampirefork, Lol Bards.
@LaDarkProphet, Barb, I shortcuted barbarian but uh...forgot that looks like bard. Ops.
Can I get a wholesome in chat
