Why... Why no ketchup? That seems so specific
@Sivls, would you put ketchup on a bratwurst?
@Frankito, Mix the ketchup with chilli sauce, onion salt, and pepper - then yeah, it’s a goer.
@Frankito, why would anyone put sauerkraut anywheres near something edible
@Sivls, it's an east coast thing. They think putting ketchup on a hotdog (or any kind of sausage) is either just for small children or completely disrespectful (depends on where exactly you are, but bostonians tend toward the latter).
@Lysander99, thought it was just a Chicagoan thing
@SpankieMcGee , they also suffer from the ketchup prejudice. Most extreme reaction I ever saw was in Boston though. It was on the food network. If you asked for Ketchup on your dog you got thrown out, and could try again tomorrow.
@Lysander99, its from some movie with clint Eastwood. Dude put ketchup on a hot dog and Clint goes " what are you a communist?" Or at least thats where I first saw it. Asked my dad and he comfermed that yes aparently ketchup on a hotdog makes you a commie
@Frankito, normal thing to put ketchup and/or mustard on a bratwurst
@A pet named dickhead, I was asking him honestly, I mean I like it on hot dogs sometimes but to each his own
@Frankito, I like hot dogs with ketchup and roasted, crispy onions. Some people throw sliced pickles on there. Wish there were more hot dog stands in Germany. I've never seen one. Only ever bratwurst or Currywurst...
@A pet named Steve, yeah, Americans hate or despise ketchup on "their" dogs, f**k knows why but I like it.
also what's currywurst?
@Frankito, hmm. I mean, like you've said, to each their own... But in my opinion ketchup tastes good with almost anything haha
@A pet named Steve, agreed and really does where I come from too :)
@Lysander99, sounds like Chicago
@Frankito, I mean... Yea? What's the big deal?
@A pet named Steve, yo, that sounds bomb tho
At least they've got taste..
