As a lawyer, I support this message...
@Board Stiff, as a lawyer I second this message
@Board Stiff, what’s the worst part?
@Murphlins, I'm not a lawyer, so take this with a grain of salt. Ive always assumed it was a few things. Firstly it's stressful as hell. You have to know the law, very very well, and that alone is a lot of studying, and it's a lot of paper work. It's not like it is in the movies, with twists and turns, it's normally quite standard, and a highly regulated.
But the number 1 reason (still just guessing) is probably having to hear all the shítty things people will do, and having to watch some of them walk free. I could definetly see how some lawyers would think the world isn't just, because even if 95% of criminals are locked up, that 5% would be what you focus on, and that bothers you.
@Duncan5769, that number 1 reason is a prosecutor issue. Lawyer issue is more having to defend those you know are definitely guilty and lying.
Definitely showing this to my friend who wants to be a lawyer
@Duncan5769, quick update, she didn't like it 🤣, but that's what makes it so funny.
I’m taking the bar exam next week and come on here to get away from studying. I feel personally attacked
@Silver6456, same here. Best of luck to you. Pass or fail, I'll be so happy when it's over.
@Silver6456, hey me too. Hey we will all survive. Then we can all drink our problems away on August 1st, like true lawyers
@DiddlyBopper, good luck to you too! I have the same outlook for finishing this thing haha
@your virginity, good luck! And remember, it doesn’t have to be reported for character and fitness to the bar if there isn’t a police report lol
@Silver6456, Coincidences aren’t personal attacks. Unless you buy into the idea that the universe has it out for you.
I hurt my leg the other day at one of those indoor trampoline places. I didn’t feel attacked when I saw I meme on here today that had a kid flying through the air after being launched in one.
Its a funny coincidence though.
That's something a lawyer would say.
Do you like 13.5 hour shifts and stupid amounts of responsibilities? Try being a doctor!
*someone come help me before I go become a used dryer salesman*
I’m taking the Bar in 5 days and I feel personally attacked
The show is called crazy ex girlfriend
Well, some failed their LSATs
my uncles a lawyer and he’s happy.
@Z0IDBERG, yea my cousin is a lawyer. At first he worked for a huge company defending them and hated it. So he went somewhere else and loves it now.
Damn I wanted to be a lawyer after playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney....
I’m a lawyer, I chase ambulances. I love what I do on some days and some days I hate it. It’s all what you make of it. All in all best decision I made. FYI I have 250k of law school debt. But well worth it. :)
@guy212183, "250k of law school debt. But well worth it".... society really fvked ya heads up
@guy212183, yeah but you could live like a broke college student and pay off your debt very quickly. Instead, most choose to live a better lifestyle and not pay off the debt fast. That is the downfall of personal finance.
@Child Slapper, I save more than I spend and my family and kids won’t have student loans. :).
@guy212183, great to hear! Check out Dave Ramsey! Changed the lives of my wife and me!
It cuts off before the best part! Student: “but what if I get on the Supreme Court?” Pink suit guy: “it’d be great to be on the Supreme Court! But you’ll never be on the Supreme Court. That will literally never ever happen”
@shnickelfritz, btw I showed this to my partner who is in law school and I cried laughing. Also cried cause law school sucks.
This song slaps
As a young lawyer still full of hope, cannot relate... yet.
I know a lawyer and can confirm. Its soul-crushing.
I did five years of history and political science in college to prepare for law school. After graduation I decided against taking the LSAT because I was burnt out on school and couldn't stand the thought of doing more. Today I work in I.T. and even though I don't get paid as well as most lawyers, I'm pretty sure that I'm happier now than if I had gone to law school.
Seems like every lawyer I’ve ever met says that. Still going to law school oh well
Do you think he rhymes that last line with the word lawyer?
