As a graphics designer, so many people wanting to pay in exposure. How are they so confident to even ask that. I even replied to one guy.... "no, how do u expect me to live?" And he replied "get a real job" then I replied back.... "oh, so you have a little baby tantrum when you don't get what you want? Mummy didn't love you enough or daddy went to buy ciggies and never came back? Or the fact that you don't have money which makes it ironic that you said I should get a real job when in fact you can barely support yourself "
@hasher2288, good on you. Fücking leeches.
@hasher2288, I’m interested to know how he responded to that. If at all
@hasher2288, I love when someone says to “get a real job” when they’re the ones trying to hire you for something
@hasher2288, I’m a musician and played a gig in February. I invoiced multiple times (around $400) and contacted the producers, to no avail. Finally found out a new guy was running the event so I contacted him and got paid a couple weeks ago. Got an email from the old producer saying “I can’t believe you wouldn’t support the arts, as a musician yourself. Sometimes it’s hard to raise money for these events, and we’re disappointed you threatened to contact a lawyer. You’ve been paid but we got many complaints about your music anyway. We never wish to work with you again.”
Basically the equivalent of being catcalled, rejecting a guy, then them saying “you’re ugly anyway”
@hasher2288, I’ve wanted some custom artwork done for MTG but never gotten around to asking an artist. Why? Cause I’m broke and I know their time ain’t cheap. I’ll wait on my wants than waste someone’s time on something I can’t afford. But when I do get the money I’ll be talking to some people.
@hasher2288, #bestcomments #storytime
@hasher2288, while i agree with your thesis in every possible way, i find it distasteful to resort to ad hominem attacks, and it only serves to weaken your argument without gain.
@hasher2288, I agree completely as well. I am a musician (bass guitar) and I find it hypocritical when people want us to donate our time and talent for their benefit without compensating us. Just because we have talent doesn’t mean it came easy or free. Behind every work of art of great song or whatever, is a lot of hard work and sacrifice. If I choose to donate my talent, it is my prerogative but don’t expect me to just volunteer without anything of value in return
I see so he must expose himself? That’s a pretty kinky artist. I like her
@BearDaniels, you've exposed the joke!
Looks like it's time for another round of my favorite game, "Imagine if the genders were reversed!"
why do you artists even do the work before getting paid? Too trusting with this current time
The other slides? I like where this is going
Meanwhile in a parallel universe
that took a 180 i didnt expect
@OmegaExceed, but that is easily welcumed
