Your barista judges your order. Just so you know
@Leslie Knope 2020, let them judge. *sips on black sludge from the marsh of madness*
@Leslie Knope 2020, judge away, but it ain't a cafecito without sugar
@DoucheMcbaggins, that’s the same as a cubano right? Yuuummm
@Leslie Knope 2020, Yessir! We lived with my Abuela when I was little and I had no idea coffee came any other way for a long time
@DoucheMcbaggins, a Filipino taught me how to make it, hard to find a cafe that does it right
@Leslie Knope 2020, I mean no disrespect to the barista, but I could not give less of a shjt.
@Leslie Knope 2020, I like it like I like my men.. bbc
Big Black Coffee
@Leslie Knope 2020, as a canadian who orders at timmies (and was also my first job), i wince at double-double people and openly scowel at triple-triple psychos. At that point its literally 50% cream. We would have to heat up the cream separately before adding it to the coffee because it cooled the coffee down that much
@PunnyBaker, lmao I had a regular who would ask for his ice coffee with literally 9/10 cream and 1/10 coffee. Would scream if he could taste the coffee. Tried to give him just a cup of cream once but he noticed the color was off 😆
@Leslie Knope 2020, thats basically just an iced latte at that point. Dont get me wrong, lattes have their place, but i'll be damned if someone calls it a coffee
@tha5th, I would make a comment about your recent BBC... cuz no man is just a big black coffee... learned a new word today... barista... had no freaking idea what that was Ahahahah. Sorry, still learning. I am very peculiar with my coffee.. been probably to Panera or Starburst (Starbucks) probably no more than eight times in my life... every single time my coffee was burnt... I hate the burnt coffee taste. I also like my coffee black. Fridays I indulge with a little creamer... besides those baristas are always happy when I make it easy for them
@Leslie Knope 2020, I judged myself when I ordered an effin decaf soy iced coffee with 3 pumps of vanilla. Can’t go back to that Starbucks again. Her face was pure judgement. Now it might have been because I forgot my pants that day but I’m pretty sure it was about the coffee
@Leslie Knope 2020, Back when I was a barista, I flat out told a nurse her drink was terrible. She ordered a medium cup of half green tea, half milk. (Milk only goes in black tea, not green)
@tha5th, I like my coffee the way I like my women. Ground up and in the freezer
@ archiethesailor, ewww
@Leslie Knope 2020, Yeah. Pretty much my reaction. I'm assuming you're saying eew to the milk and green tea and not my joke
@ archiethesailor, yeah to the tea! Lol I keep thinking about that... I feel like it would curdle the milk?
@Leslie Knope 2020, I doubt it would because, as I said, milk goes great in black tea. The only problem would be the taste
@ archiethesailor, but a lot of green tea blends have lemon or something in them. And I just... ew.
@Leslie Knope 2020, Do they? I don't do green tea, so I didn't really know that
@ archiethesailor, yeah most do (not all)Had one customer ordered steamed lemonade with cream, and that isht curdled every time and they loved it 🤢 I worked at Starbucks for almost 10 years. Went through “coffee master” and “tea master” training/school and then onto manager. Absolutely my favorite job ever. But after that long you see a lot of changes in the company and I had to say goodbye. Where did you work?
@Leslie Knope 2020, I worked in a hospital's coffee shop. I sold Starbucks, but was a hospital employee
@ archiethesailor, that’s so cool! I covered at a hotel Starbucks and it was wild! I always wondered what it’d be like in a hospital. I imagine it to be more stressful than a typical store because, ya know, doctors and family all needing to see patients and everything. Did you ever get close to a regular who just stopped showing up? 😞 oh no I’m getting sad thinking about it
@Leslie Knope 2020, My regulars were all either staff or family members who wanted to tell me all about the diagnoses of their husbands/ wives/ parents/ grandparents/ etc. The saddest thing I got in the coffee bar was an elderly regular who's husband kept ending up in the ICU (and once, her brother, who I believe was assaulted and died in there). The staff was generally friendly, and I got to know them, nurses, doctors, and all, before I switched to security.
@Leslie Knope 2020, They also take and fulfill my order, which is all I really need. They’re usually pretty nice about it, too, though.
@seeUpee, hey man no judgement from me. I rather like starbucks. Venti cold brew quad shot is what I get. And I KNOW I get judged because the barista will look at me like Frieza looks at Goku when he first goes ssj on Namek.
This is absolutely what I think when I order it black
I put sugar and creamer in mine, just like I have since I was five years old. I'm too old and stubborn to change.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, I’m the exact same way. Started drinking it around the same age, because my grandma liked the company while she drank hers, and I’ve drank the same way since. White.
I’m sure it would taste better if I put cream and sugar in it, which is why I don’t do that. I avoid drinking my calories whenever possible, even if it means I drink hot mud water
