My problem is kind of the opposite. I need that part of it and more. Also it's hard to edit equations on a phone.

It's not as complicated as it looks. The key to aviation is redundancy. That way if something goes wrong you have a back up.
TBH, a lot of those "complicated dials and gauges" are really easy when you think of them as a car in 3D. One of them is for your speed, one is your RPM, one is your engine temperature, one is your fuel level, one your GPS, and one is your guide for where you're pointed in space. Try not to let the fuel reach zero or that last one be straight to the ground.
