Got real confused for a second when I read “athletes” instead of “atheists”
Atheists might go to hell. Might want to consider that possibility.
@TomPholio, and pigs may indeed fly, ever considered that?
@big freedom, i might if I thought my soul might depend on it
@TomPholio, if you believe in the flying pigs and ask them to allow you into heaven it will be so!
@big freedom, why thank you. I respect your right to a flying pig religion, and even though I don't believe it's true, I'm glad you've tried to convert me because, since you believe it, I know that means you care.
@TomPholio, I'm agnostic, so pretty much decided I don't know what the holy hell happens after you die, but I would hate to believe in a god that judges a person on a belief in them instead of the good or bad they might have done.
@TomPholio, believing in something because of the consequences of not believing is the entire reason I don’t believe. It’s completely hypocritical and you are essentially the very thing you claim to be against because you aren’t believing for all the wrong reasons.
@TomPholio, well they wont know where they are, at least they will spend more time asking for directions than crying
@TomPholio, This is what I dont get. So someone says something about how atheists are stupid because their "soul" depends on the idea of believing in something and everyone upvotes. But if someone makes a comment on the other side saying OH what if you're wrong these are my beliefs yadda yadda blah blah. Everyone shîts on them and downvotes them to oblivion. Now I'm not taking a stand on this by any means I just find it funny how there is a clear community bias of people who want to believe in God so bad they have to shït on everyone else for essentially doing the same things they're doing.
@TomPholio, I think this can easily be flipped. Christian's might go to hell, might want to consider that possibility. What if Allah is the one true god and any other religious follower goes to hell? What if zeus was real the whole time and everyone goes down to the underworld. It's just ironic how you can say oh snow atheist might go to hell for not believing in this one god when there are literally hundreds of gods. So many societies have created religions far older than Judaism or Catholsism and just because of where and how you were raised you firmly believe the one you were told of when you were little. I'm not advocating for anything I'm just saying theres alot of hypocrisy going around and this community bias on shït like this is getting old. Most likely everyone is wrong about everything no one knows anything so let's accept that we are all very stupid and laugh at funny pictures okay, guys?
@Bluemama, God doesn't judge people for believing or not. Not in the sense that people seem to think. We are judged on our righteousness because God is righteous and by nature can't let sin in. The problem is, no one is righteous, but God sent his son out of love for us (the bible says he doesnt want anyone to go to hell. It wasn't made for man, but for the devil) so jesus became the legal loophole basically, but we do have to believe on him and accept that sacrifice. The difference between the misconception and the truth, is that God is all powerful, but he is also loving by nature, giving us free will. So even though he has all the power he also can't go against his own nature which means he doesn't decide for us. We have to do out part for it to all work.
@TomPholio, I respect your beliefs, but I don't exactly agree with them.
@Rudolph Schmidt , I agree we should consider that. Yes I was raised to believe in Christianity, but I have reevaluated my beliefs and changed a lot of things too. All I'm saying is give it adequate thought and reflection and maybe don't take spiritual advice from Family Guy
@TomPholio, any god who sends ghandi to hell for not accepting jesus christ as his personal lord and savior can fvck straight off to whatever all-powerful fvck all he’s doing. ill take hell with ghandi
@Prime Umbra, I think you're right. The negative consequences are not why I choose to be a Christian, but I don't think it's a bad reason to start asking questions if you're not a believer.
@Hoban Washburne, no one said Ghandi is going to hell. There may be things we don't understand about how it all works. The bible does say that the law doesn't apply to those who don't know it. It's reasonable to conclude that people are judged partially based on what their circumstances allow them to do. It would be sad to miss out on something great just because of a misconception
@TomPholio, im fairly certain ghandi, who came up as a british lawyer, fully knew of and chose not to believe in jesus. so by your own logic he didnt take the “legal loophole” of jesus despite knowing about him and presumably was not wholly righteous, as you said nobody is, so either you’re a hypocrite or you believe ghandi is justifiably in hell
*taps foot impatiently waiting for good guy Satan to tell us what’s in that section of hell*
